It was the theme music for the 1944 film noir of the same name, one of my late mother's very favorite films! It pleases me to hear Marc playing this old tune so nicely.
It was also a favorite performed by my late friend Emil Theriault, a big band legend on the trumpet, but also well know for his later solo lounge act with organ and piano as well as trumpet. He spent his last years performing in a north Tampa lounge.
