We had to then all put Wrangler clothing on and this video was Seve giving a clinic and warming up for the 9 hole challenge. Mike and I were both off plus 1 handicap at the time. Mike and I were 2 under par better ball for 8 holes but Seve was 4 under on his own and he beat us 2 and 1. On the last hole Seve showed off some more of his incredible talents. He threw 3 balls into the green side bunker on the 18th and then said to his caddy give me the 1 Iron. Seve then set up to the first ball and opened the 1 iron's club face as open as possible and slashed out to a foot from the hole with spin. 2nd one came out to 6 inches from the pin and I will never forget for the rest of my life the 3rd shot. Seve open the face of his 1 iron even more and played it even higher and with more spin holed the last shot. Legend it not enough, God like comes close. Thanks Seve, Paul Way.xx

Mike and I had both qualified for The Open at Muirfield and stayed there until Monday morning after Tom Watson had won his third Open. We were taken to a local airport near Muirfield with Seve and then got on a tiny plane with all our luggage crammed in. Seve didn't like this but we landed safely near Woburn.
Well Paul you must have plenty of anecdotes, you wasn’t so bad yourself , hailed as the best swing in Europe if I remember correctly, but crammed in a light aircraft with a true legend must be up there . Those years must be precious.

Did Seve ever get a hole in one in tournament play? I must add I posted this question above and then read the description which by shear coincidence talks about Seve mentioning that he had not had a hole in one , I wonder if he did go on to get one in tournament play. I don't think he did mind, since it would be easy to find on youtube.
