Welcome to another of my channels featuring, hard to find, action from the great man, Seve Ballesteros.
I will try and add to this channel as much as possible to keep the memories of this wonderful golfer alive.

A little glimpse of slimline Seve in Oz, suffering in the last round with a 77 after shooting 73 ,71, 73 , coming in at 11th place after hitting 3 OB's on the 12th.

A very young Seve, 21, came a respectful tied 16th in his 1st US Open. Amazing 2nd shot on 17th is a highlight and Peter Alliss's comment that we will seeing a lot of Seve in the future, was bang on.. Also a big thank you to Conrad Nagel.

or 'David Gilford wins vital point with the expert man management of partner Seve'..you decide. Also, Seve's famous line on the 1st tee to David was 'I want you to know that you are the best player here'.. priceless Big shout out to Pepster who has the whole clip of both players.
Only Seve, 1979 Pro-Celebrity, Queens Course, Gleneagles.

Unapologetically, a look at young Seve's shots only, during one of those great Pro-Celebrity matches in the 70's and 80's. Highlights are: huge drives, majestic 2 iron, wonderful gripping chip and Seve getting advice from Lee Trevino on how to conduct oneself in the USA.

Tied 6th after the 3rd round, Seve ran out of steam on the back nine and fell back to tied 12th. The winner coming in on the rails was another dearly departed, Payne Stewart. On a side note, this was the last cut at a major, Arnold Palmer made, aged 60!
Seve at 1984 TPC, Sawgrass. Last Round

Seve playing well in the early season in the USA is usually a good omen for things to come like in 1988! Freddie too good this time and Seve finishes 3rd.

Seve hitting drives of 290 yards when driver heads were actually made of wood and smaller than a modern day hybrid. When golf was a proper sport.
El mejor gran jugador. 😢
Easy to look back whimsically and perhaps I'm overly nostalgic but this was the best era for golf - Seve was king and the British crowds adored him like no other.
What a waste of good land, its for growing food
Imagine Jack with the SAME equipment as Tiger.
Lee Trevino had a great joke about the one iron. One day they were playing a tournament and thunder and lightening rolled in over the course. Lee said: 'don't worry, just hold up a one iron, cos not even God can hit that'. He was a very witty player.
Not too shabby 😂 Classic Alliss.
1961-nicklaus broke the face of his driver 9 times that year.noted golf coach jim mcclean said that jacks driving of the ball was unreal
What people don't realise is he drove this green the three rounds previously as well
saw Jack in Memphis at Danny Thomas Open. His driver looked like a Redwood Tree on a stick
Amazing shot.
Out on his own, the greatest
The first 400 yard drive ever!
When balls meet skill
I met a former Swedish amateur international who played with Nicklaus as an 18 year old on the bears first Swedish appearance at the 1970 volvo open. He told me Nicklaus could do absolutely anything with the ball and had an extra 40 yards in reserve off the tee for when he needed it
The GOAT
Tiger Woods would a blown past Jack bye at least 50 yards
Wow
Yeah okay but the wind was blowing a gale for the assist.
Major championship slim lead ......1 iron in wind storm knocking it 3 inches is diabolical work
A Golden Age of Golf...
Lots of GOATS there 🤣🤣
Deceptive with U2 title is one thing that outright lying is another. This wasn’t a hole in one.
I can't do that on a mini golf course into the wind
Count Yogi was hitting it 400 yards in 1940s. Worlds greatest ever player. Taught thousands. Held a hundred records.
A one-iron is tough to hit, but pros like Nicklaus the ball hits the club face with the diameter of a dime. A one-iron can fly under the wind like nothing else.
Man I really enjoyed this clip. What an instinct Nicklaus had.
And that looked like his 3 wood ...not his driver ? The greatest golfer in the history of the multiverse ..bar none ! And the greatest and fairest of all the others ..so genuinely humble and respectful when he was defeated by another .... inspirational ! Perfect concentration too .
218 yds. A 1 iron. These days the pros would be hitting a 6 iron
I hit the flagstick with an iron shot before. The people on the green the next hole over were really mad. 😄
wow! no wonder he still holds the most majors.
He is the GOAT, not Tiger. Can you imagine what he could have done with todays equipment? I still have my old clubs from back then and I just laugh when I compare that maple driver with my Taylormade.
Legends, all of them, absolute legends, (they were the days) My God, that one iron! ( I can't even swing a three iron). Unbelievable.
The clap track added on the 17th when he hit the pole was hilarious. Just a few polite claps.. no biggie. lol.
220, major gusty wind into you, you take your 1 iron, hit it into the wind, let it hop once, then off the flagpole within 2 feet. putt it in. it was so much easier back then.
Once upon a long time ago as kid, me and several others helped work a tournament for a new course opening. Later on, we got to meet the players and organizers. We we all given autographed golf balls from the likes of Nicklaus, Trevino, Palmer, Player... over the next several weeks I proceeded to smash mine off into a pasture behind the house, not knowing who any of those people were until about 20 years later. :(
The GOAT. !
Best that ever played the game and fabulous man husband and father and man o manashevitz could America use a shitload of men like him now
You can't even show him knock it in?
3 people clapped for that shot
When supremacy was all. Conquer the Mountain. Who is the "mountain? Well shucks, the mountain is YOU. surprise.
Late night host Jack Parr asked Nicklaus what makes you so good. Jack responded, my wife washes my balls. Parr responded with That must make your putter stand up. 😢
Got to meet every one of these Golf Greats at the 1977/78(?) Andy Williams Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course, when I worked as a caddy for the club and got to caddy for Billy Casper -- super nice guy that gave me a $100 tip each and every day. I also flew hang gliders at the cliffs right next to the golf course. Great time to be alive in SoCal.
I liked hitting the golf ball, the thing that evaded me at 11 eldarean years of pride lore, was the vector plane. For a good few years, i really didn't know what a vector was, around 33, long after i got out of the cemetary, all I could hit was a vector. Just getting the candybar to create tiny fussion candy bars.
Probably an engineer who loved watching golf who invented HD television.
Incredible balls to take that risk and it payed off. Mere mortals would lay up.
Legend.
To me. Nicklaus was the best player in the history of the game.
Everything in the 70s was dangerous including this golf course.
If That shot does not hit the flag… Ball is on the Pacific Ocean
