Nice. I can hardly wait until my order is shipped. It looks to be the most perfect computer, and even if it was the same price as the Macbook pro, I still prefer the macbook air with no moving parts.

I'm just wondering how you're going with your M1. I feel that playing TH-cam on Chrome for Apple Chip takes up more CPU than Safari.And a lot of other Intel apps are using very high CPU. Do you not have any Intel apps? I also feel the battery drains fast when using too much Intel apps.

Great video! I ordered my M1 air the other day, to replace my 2017 MacBook. I ordered it with the student/education discount for $899. PLUS. Apple is going to give me $350 back when they receive my trade-in of my 2017 12” MacBook model!! So I’m essentially getting it for $550 🥳🥳 So excited!! 💕

Congratulations, i have some questions about engineering and macbook. Do u have some problem about windows engineering programs. I am mech. eng. phd student. Usually i am using matlab. With the changing cpu architecture, a lot application has some problem on m1 macbook. Can u share ur experienced about that. Thank u

storage - 256 gb, memory - 8 gb but I would recommend going higher for memory

aww thank you! I really like the gold color but I do think the space gray is more classic and timeless...don't think you can go wrong with either choice tbh!

I think you were interpreting the “always on” thing wrong. The screen only stayed on because you closed it very briefly (I think). The feature the M1 is enabling is for the screen to instantly turn on when you open it.

Hey! I think the color is gold like iphone 11 (although I don't have one so I can't say for sure). It is definitely not pink like the previous macbook air. Although it did have more pink tones than I thought, which is why I called it "rose gold" in the video but now I realize that might be a bit misleading haha
So is this device completely replacing your 16”?

Thank you for the tip about not being able to Boot Camp into Windows! That is a huge consideration for me.
Parallels still runs virtual windows with great performance, from what I've seen. Worth looking in to that route if you still really want an M1 Mac.
@@broank5848 Oh thank you! I tried to run Windows 10 with Parallels on my 2017 MacBook Pro and it was REALLY slow, even with 512gb SSD and 16gb of RAM. Good to know it has improved. I'll look into it.

I would say 512GB is a better choice if this is your main device

It depends on what you do. If you're just going to store some files, then 256 GB should be enough. If you want to store a lot of videos/other bigger files, then you might want more storage. Ofc, you can also buy external storage for much cheaper than upgrading the storage from Apple.

@@toni.k I personally don't because I make videos and those take up a looot of storage space lol. On my main computer, the macbook pro 16", I got 1 TB storage. And yes, I do think external storage is a good option. But if you travel around a lot, then having to carry external storage might not be convenient.
