What I love about the S-1 is that it allows you so easily to step into different genres - from minimal techno to ambient to drone - everything seems possible :) thank you for this demonstration!
Acid it can also do verry well
a visitor at home had one, hooked him up to my stereo and was so impressive for such a small device...was like a mini rave happening in my lounge! but you have shown me the mellow side of it and i thank you greatly
The size can be misleading. This is a real synth, very capable and versatile! Thanks for the feedback
I hope you can make more S1 ambient videos, it's a powerful machine that has been neglected too much in the ambient music community.
I'll do it!
Subbed 👍@@ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic
Beautiful! You have truly demonstrated the S-1 can be a fantastic ambient machine!
Your videos are showing me there's so much depth to this little device. I've barely begun to scratch the surface on mine. Thank you! 🙂
Keep on digging!
Love these vids man, keep them coming. Learning loads with your help, thank you.
That was an awesome presentation, thank you
Amazing video. I got really interested in creating ambient music a few years ago during a lengthy period of insomnia. I really love what you created here and the presentation is top notch. Cool little synth, too.
I'm also into ambient music since few years. Before I used to produce beats. The creative freedom is the best part. Thank you for your feedback!
Lush lush sounds.Calming and present ♥️🔥
I thought it was a piece of synthesizer magic E/M - it was rather lovely ! Thank you.
Very well done! And calming.
Thank you!
Really good. Thank you so much.
Lovely ✌️
Keep making this videos!
yes!
@@ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic do more with this synth and maybe the korg fm2
Nice! Very ambient result
Love your breakdowns, they make something that seems complex really approachable.
I'm glad, thanks for the feedback
nice smooth sound
I forgot my depression, bathed with ambience
nice👍🏼
Beautiful
Wonderful!
I like your philosophy- great ideas! I must try this on my S1! 4:24
Thanks, have fun!
Very great instruction video. Very helpful. Any chance you will make an ambient instruction video on the Roland P6? Obrigado!
Unfortunately I don't own it. Cheers!
Hi, my dad just got me this as my first piece of music equipment and I'm lost, could you make an absolute beginner tutorial or point in towards a good one? 😅
Hello, welcome to the synth family!
If you go trough all my s-1 videos I think you can find some informations and ideas. Cheers!
hey thank you for this, great inspiration!
i have a question: what if i wanted to overlap other sounds with different settings than the first one? what if i wanted to play a melody over the loop but with other envelope values without affecting the previous one for example?
I'm afraid it's not possible. The four oscillators sources behave as a one Envelopes and effects are shared, So the settings are global.
You need to connect other synths to play a second melody with a different sound.
Fuck it, I'm buying one.
You won't regret 😆 please consider using my affiliate link in the description i, thanks!
Im loving your S1 ambient videos!! may I ask you something? How is the name of this function? 1:19
Hi , thanks 🙏 I'm not sure I understand what function you are referring to. At that time in the video I'm bringing down the tempo to the minimum (40 BPM)
Tiz a strong synth ever, isn't it?
it's surprising how much you can do with just one synth alone!
@@ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic Yeah right?
This isn't possible on the SH-101. 👍🔥
Why not? with an SH-101 and a good reverb/delay pedal you can come up with some magnificent textures..
@@lucid484 Definitely! But not without the outboard gear...Then there are the voice modes not available on the SH-101. 4 note poly, chord, then OSC draw, and chop....Then the noise osc, which does a lot more than the SH-101. Good sequencing...a few effects, including Roland choruses based on the Junos, JX, etc. Personally I much prefer it's pink noise, over the white, but it has both, and deeper controls for making use of the noise. it's noise is very addicting... really sounds great, is super fun, and useful...and that's just the pink noise. 😄
Please dont cut the video, we loose track of the explanation
Sorry I tried to keep only the important parts otherwise it gets to long and boring. If something is not clear you can ask me.
chess, we knew dat
😆HAHAHA!
try talking like a normal person
This dude would make the creepiest ASMR ever.
can't risk to wake up the neighbor!
Try taking your meds
What kind of person says shit like this? 🤔🙄
