I can feel the bass from my Craig 6 inch paper woofers. I also have Home Depot #6 stranded cables. Found them in a trash pile a few miles from a remodeling job. My next door neighbor welded the wires straight to the speakers. He said that way there is no loss. Now I can play my collection of Grease movie musical record. My other neighbor also recommended I get a blue scotch pad and clean my Sharp cassette player recording heads. He said it will dampen the high frequencies. It sounds fantastic!
It's a pretty simple looking internal design, it must be their in-house production and Quality checks that take the time as long to build each one. Bargain really.
You should have gotten the Nagra Classic INT as it combines both the Nagra Preamp and Nagra Amp. Additionally to the Nagra Classic INT, I also own the discontinued Nagra Tube DAC, the Nagra Classic PSU, Nagra CD (the rare Nagra CD Player) and a Nagra IV Reel To Reel recorder. I was lucky enough to receive this beauty from my father and grandfather, in which I will continue this tradition with my son. My speakers are a pair of Paradigm Persona 3F (Aria Metallic Blue) which I picked up refurbished for $4600. I also have a pair of JBL Synthesis L100 Classic (Orange) that I will switch out, especially during the holidays, from time to time as the sound takes me back to my childhood. I can't agree with you more, the Nagra Preamp and Amp, or in my case, the INT will be with someone for life. That being said, I also just so happen to own a pair of Bang & Olufsen A9 Bluetooth Speakers that sound absolutely divine. The insane part is that the A9's have a built in DAC, as well as a Preamp and Amp. Now, even though they sound amazing, the Nagra system still sounds better, but I keep wondering for how long. This Bluetooth technology is getting better, not just that but it's alao more convenient. Just some silly thoughts, I will always have my Nagra system.
I have autioned all NAGRA and definitely prefer the sound of DAVE, even I own Gryphon because of convinence since it is a module included in my system.
@@Fluterra HD ..out of my butget. Beside of Nagra, I can't wait to listen the enleum Amp 23R once HK dealer in stock on Sept. My speakers are a pair of Stenheim 2 bookshelf 93db, just wondering if the enleum could drive them well.
@@jayfung2618 I had the stenheim 2s . They are quite lightweight- I was using a ch precision i1 as the amp . I ended replacing the stenheim 2 for the Stenheim 3s and also bought the ch precision a1.5 power amp . But I am considering buying the Nagra classic pre later this year .
The Kinki will be a paperweight within 5 years when a component breaks and no one replies from the company in China. Nagra will repair and support everything they make for decades, as they have for the past 50+ years.
OK, for my kind of photography I do not need Leica, it is not even desirable - Hasselblad H6D and X1D are perfect. But those Nagras!…. I started to play lottery, meanwhile I buy Schiit Freya+… 😉
I would be great if you could do a review of spectral gear ore audio note UK gear and tell us you impressions of those i would be verry intrested! And i must say i like your recordings its verry nicley done nice sound.
Thanks for your reply. A little bit higher via spikes would certainly help. I would rather put the preamp on the bottom of the stack or put the two units side by side, pending sufficient room.
I love Nagra however I do disagree that the DAVE as the best it certainly isn't..DCS and Nagra's own HD dac way better. :-) Oh forgot to mention I'm listening on Tannoy WR Sig and Kondo yup the price of a house but well worth it :-)
DAVE is way better than NAGRA in DAC IMHO, I auditioned Nagra, DAVE and Gryphon DAC and ended with Gryphon DAC, because it was a convinient module, but DAVE Sound is best of all, hands down.
It will not be long before the Chinese get hold of a Nagra and copy it .. like they do with anything they make.I would think the price would be a Third of what Nagra charges... Maybe it will be called a Chagra. Great review tasteful demonstration music too..👍🎶🎵
Hmm. I have never in life seen any washing machine look like a Nagra product, lol. Nagra has been around since 1951 and has always been associated with quality. They are some of the most beautiful audio pieces I have had through here. Next level sound, small, and not so heavy that they will break your back. The only con here is the cost. Thank you.
Even though the Nagra system price tag is $37,000 some mouth breathing ignorant clown would see these great units a Kmart Blue Light Special and trash them!
nagra and blue colour indicators in 2022 year? really?? are you kidding me, this is ugliest colour for such huge price they couldnt even make soft green or soft yellow
You can never pay too much for that humanity, warmth, beauty, and lit from within kind of sound 😊👍
Just beautiful 🤩 heavenly. Superb work. 👍😀
Starting off 2022 with some awesome reviews and videos. Thanks
“Hey, time to get Kinki!”
- that’s what she said
How do you compare your Passlabs gear to the Nagra Classic pre and ampli?

Funny
I'm soooo jealous, when you are listening tonight please have a brief thought for the rest of us poor folk.
:)

Denmark's Gryphon products are also really special.

Nagra Tube DAC is not discontinued. HD DAC is discontinued. You have a wonderful system. I think you can up the game with different speakers.
oh why dont you marry it?
Beautifull instruments out of my country...
Gorgeous set indeed. Who is doing the rendition of “Amazing Grace”?
The nagra classic amp is a mono power amplifier. normally you need two to push this pair of boxes, you only used one?
Great Set-up, but if I were you I will replace the CORD DAve by a NAGRA TubeDAC. This will give a ALL-Nagra sound ;-)
I have autioned all NAGRA and definitely prefer the sound of DAVE, even I own Gryphon because of convinence since it is a module included in my system.
That’s what we’re all looking for class
Where did you get your component cabinet from? Im looking for something similar. Thnx. Your vids are always excellent.
I just sold my Nagra Int which is already excellent and looking for used Classic Preamp and amp. I hope it will be a big improvement.
Doublful. Why would you sell the Integrated to go to the Classic? The next step up is the HD line.

great system. If you have chance to try Gryphon amplifications... like Apex or Mephisto.... :)))
Nice n tasty ... Time to start saving ... 😎

That NAGRA remote control is a 37 grand slap in the face.
You’re paying for sound quality - who cares about the remote?
@@Fluterra What? You think for that price Nagra cheaped out on the remote control just to give you a little better sound quality? 😅

Is it ok to stack preamp on top of amp, preventing heat dissipation?
At least it would need the spikes (that fit in the holes on the top plate of the CLASSIC AMP) to get the CLASSIC PREAMP a little bit higher

why don't you demo the sound? through suitable quality speakers like stenheim?

That price, wow, makes Leica owners look broke. lol
Even though I would never buy Swiss I find the look appealing. Perhaps appliance-ish?
The war is over dear jugend 😂
Best not to stack the NAGRA gear.
각 자 정체성 은 가져야 ...
I can smell the cork from my house.
Are you pretending that you are not trying figure out how to get a used set of these?
A tube in the signal is akin to kobe beef with hp sauce 🤔... to each his own as they say!🙋
Doubles the testo...stereo-n..
Please tell us which recording of Amazing Grace you used here. Thanks.
The version they sing in Heaven.
It's Maneli Jamal's rendition of Amazing Grace. And it even sounds amazing through my Klipsch THX computer speakers!

It’s possible that kinki studio might have nagra parts in it. Chinese can buy anything now at their asking price
You see very similar nagra knock of chassis on eBay and other sights. So yes the Chinese will copy anything .
I guess the workers and technicians in china get much less paid than in Switserland... A factor 10 difference seems about right?
If it were my stereo I wouldn't put my greasy vingers on it the whole time.
Wow $20k for a preamp.
