I think Zhou is gonna be the better option but I could be proven wrong :) We were limited on who to get though, so the options were basically Zhou or Stroll.
Your Zandvoort red flag choice baffled me. It looked like you had 3 sets of viable softs at that point, why not either just go triple-soft at that point to the end or switch to an aggressive strategy and just go 2 sets of softs to the end? I totally would have gone softs from that point on and just made the pace work to make it to the end. The biggest problem I've found with the attack meta is getting stuck in those DRS trains and you don't go anywhere. Sometimes the attack pace isn't viable just based on being stuck in traffic.
I have major regulations change for next season how should I deal with that? I was thinking using two slots for research and 2 slots for design would that be good enough?
Depends, if you can meet board objectives there is nothing wrong with using all 4 slots. Keep in mind you will have a car that will be very powerful compared to the rest of the grid if you do this.
I tried swapping engine parts in the main screen as you suggested. Had THREE slow pit stops on race weekend. Never did it again after that

If you're confident you can achieve your board objective for the season you can push more on research for the next season.
