@@sandorkocso1798 thanks man that’s very kind of you to say, glad you enjoyed the video! I’m sure you’ll get on with the focal length, it’s not too weird!
Great video! I like that you mentioned that an edc is a 'want' for most people. For a long time I told myself that I 'needed' a second camera as an edc, but I rarely used it. Now I just have the Nikon ZF that I take everywhere, I just change the lens depending on what I'm doing. And that camera is just so great! However, more cameras are always fun haha!
@@larsingrain thanks very much, they really are unnecessary for most people! In all honesty, if I didn’t make TH-cam videos I’d just have the one camera to do eveything so I fully appreciate that it’s a niche “need”
I have two XT5s. One lives in my zoom bag and the other is usually in a small bag with the XF27 Mk II mounted for outings like you have depicted here. I tried the X100 series cameras a few times but in the end, I just couldn't justify my second camera not being able to share my lenses or be a true backup. The XT5/27mm isn't that much larger anyway. Enjoyed your video.
Two XT5s is a very lovely setup indeed - I may have an X100VI on the way soon to try as an EDC so I’m interested to see how it stacks up against the XT30ii - glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching :))
my 2 edc's are the olympus xa2 and the vg130 i f i go for walks or longer trips ill use my prakica l with a f2.8/50mm wide angle lens as for my film ive been using kodak gold and ultra max
@@kianabogaert I’m not too familiar with those cameras but I’m a missive fan of the look of Kodak gold and ultra max. The XA2 looks like a lovely little point and shoot!
Yes yes yes I have 2 GFX camera for my professional work ...the ones where image quality is critical 👌....but I have an XT5 Fuji which I'm swapping for an X100Vi
Used to own a Samsung nx 300 combined with a 30mm.f2 pancake prime as an everyday carry. Sold them solely because my gear was all around the place; too many different brands and cameras. Now I miss the fact that I was able to have a (jacket) pocket-camera pretty much everywhere I went . Thinking about getting an X-E3 + 27mm if/when the Fuji hype drops (already started to) and prices start making sense again.
I had to search up what the Samsung NX 300 was, I love how small they are! Looks like an ideal combo. I’m a massive fan of the 27mm so far paired with a smaller body, I’m sure the XE3 would work really well with it!
@ronan_duff they're small and quite capable for a 11 yo camera. And the IQ of that pancake was mindblowing. Makes you think what could have been if Samsung hadn't dropped off of the MILC game so early. Btw the nx500 is the same size with the nx300 but with even better ergonomics and a 28mp sensor. A great choice for people searching for a pocket cam.
@ronan_duff I read mixed stuff about the 27mm! So you like it huh? My XT3 would be smaller paired with it but I believe it's made for the smaller Fuji bodies...
@@XXX-vy6xv it’s not the sharpest, fastest and is certainly not a video lens but for 95% of people I reckon it’s more than good enough - it’s a compromise because of the size but I’m a big fan of it. The focal length isn’t for everyone either but it suits my photography!
instant follow! love how chill this is. not a 10 page scrips with specs and comparissons and what not. also love your recipe.

My current daily carry is a Nikon ZF with the little 40mm f2. A bit bigger than most daily carry cameras, but man it is just so fun to shoot with.
Ive only heard great things about the ZF, with a 40mm f2 that’s gotta be a great combo. More than good enough for an edc I reckon?
i will be in japan in 3 weeks and the top priority on the purchase list is an EDC !!

I’m very jealous of your pair of GFXs.. maybe someday I’ll justify one to myself! But the XT5 and X100VI sound like the perfect complimentary camera!
@ronan_duff get a 50s ii it's slow but it's working camera features are amazing ..image quality your jaw drops and hits the ground
@ I think my next purchase is looking like it’ll be an X100VI to be honest, but something with a bigger sensor will definitely be a long term want!
My edc is the canon eos r50
I don’t know the canon system much, APS C right? What lens do you pair with it?
the kit 18-45 f/4.5-6.3 or the RF prime 50mm f/1.8 for good portraits
@ ah that’s ideal, kit lenses are very underrated in general and a nifty fifty is such a staple - great setup mate!
