    This is such a weird bed arrangement for a suite. With a family of four, one kid has to sleep with the parents, which defeats one of the main benefits of having a suite. If it was 2 couples, one person has to sleep in with a couple, which is very weird. If it was 4 single people, again, one person gets a whole room to themselves and the other three are all in one room. So weird. This seems to only work for a family of 3 who sleep in one room and some relative (or I suppose creepy friend) who sleeps in the other room. I just do not understand this at all.

    • @xDarkTrinityx
      @xDarkTrinityx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very much agree. Even in the lower end cabins if you wanted to have 2 adult couples, one couple would have to be split into bunk beds while the other gets a queen. I get that they're expecting kids here as well... but as a kids I never minded sharing a bed with my siblings so it does feel weird they went with the bunk bed/fold down bed route when (to me at least) Id rather split a room with my adult friends

    These video tours have been great. It's so nice to see neutral or unbiased documentation of the Starcruiser. I had previously seen two different Disney "influencers" tour the Halcyon during the press preview and they were awful. Both were as insincere as the ham actors in the infamous Disney preview video with "Adam Goldberg." One presented it as if it were a "fabulous" vacation with friends, while the other was more forthcoming with it being an hours long preview event, quickly covering what would normally be experienced over the course of two days, however, even he seemed less than knowledgeable of Star Wars lore and faked an emotional experience in the end. I'm still not too impressed with the "dinner theatre" aspect of the experience, but the overall ship, the rooms and amenities actually seem pretty nice. It's not as bad some would have you believe. Does it really matter what the surface transport vessel is made of in real life? Box truck or bus, the interior of the vehicle, what's "front of house" is convincing. I've seen too many clown videos hating on the Starcruiser without actually seeing it first hand. I honestly don't know if I'm personally willing to pay so much for the exclusive experience. I think I'd rather visit Tokyo Disney Resort than spend that much on just two nights of LARPing at Walt Disney World. I suppose I'll add the Starcruiser to Disney "to-do list," but it will be somewhere near the bottom. Aside from the expense and Disney's apparent desire to cater to only a certain demographic, my only other criticism is that both the Starcruiser and Galaxy's Edge still need "plussing" to bring it inline with guest expectations. Maybe within a decade, it'll be the experience we all want it to be.

    • @brianpatry6362
      @brianpatry6362 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The "fake vacation" aspect is because Disney had effectively offered a few VIP influencers a more in-depth preview experience. Whereas they all got invited to a 4-hour press event that abridged the entire storyline, only the VIP ones got to experience day 2 and 3 as you would on a normal stay at the hotel; that initial 4-hour press event simply replaced the activities of their first day.

    • @david_walker_esq
      @david_walker_esq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@brianpatry6362 That makes sense. But, I can't believe that one guy is a "VIP." VIP status obviously isn't based on production quality. I'd expect channels like WDW News, Mickey Views, Randomland and even DSNY News to be VIP influencers for Disney, not this over the top ham without an ounce of sincerity. It's pretty sad if that's who Disney considers important and best reflective of their brand.

    • @brianpatry6362
      @brianpatry6362 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@david_walker_esq Fair. I think they judged based on overall reach for specific demographics (as well as how unlikely the influencer would then be to provide negative criticism). For example, one of the VIPs posts irregularly on TH-cam and doesn't even have a 100K subscribers, but is also a big-name TikToker and Instagrammer. Others were Ordinary Adventures who have lots of subscribers and are popular among the Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney parks TH-cam fandoms, and the same for Molly and Quincy from AllEars. I also noticed the Super Carlin Bros got the VIP treatment, but they're Harry Potter first, Star Wars second. Meanwhile, PCDev and RixFlix, who are openly unbiased in their reviews of theme park stuff in Florida, weren't even allowed to attend the 4-hour event despite always being invited to other theme park media events from Disney.

    • @david_walker_esq
      @david_walker_esq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brianpatry6362 Disney's strategy has the opposite effect on me. The insincere emotional reactions to the mundane and emotional words being expressed without the corresponding emotion by these particular "influencers" culminating in fake tears over the whole experience has only made me lose faith in Disney. However, seeing things like Tom delight over the secret passage connecting the two areas of his suite or the process of opening and closing the view port sell me on the experience. It's too bad Disney doesn't have faith in its own product to allow authentic experiences and unbiased review to promote the Starcruiser.

    • @brianpatry6362
      @brianpatry6362 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@david_walker_esq I definitely don't disagree with you. It would have cost Disney only the material cost of uneaten food to have invited all of those press people to do the full 3-day experience, as well as would have sold skeptics on the possibility of booking the experience had they seen the unbiased influencers give their negative impressions. Right now, the worst feedback feedback I've seen is Molly from AllEars saying it's not for everyone due to the pricetag, but even she spun it as "that's a week's stay at Disney World instead, depending on the family's needs."
