Glad you've been willing to talk honestly about the heat stroke, and super glad you're feeling well enough to get back out. I had a more minor version of heat stroke or exhaustion on a 105 deg F hike in Tucson years ago. And dang it can be deceptive. I was making one bad decision after another and tried to keep going when I should have turned back. My wife ended up having to literally drag me up even small slopes to get me back to the trail head; I was completely tapped out. Took me days to feel half way human again. And that's when I was 15 years younger and in great shape. Yours is the only ADV channel I've seen yet that's done as good a job sharing the dangers of the heat and how to avoid them. Keep it up, you never know, you might save a life.
Great to hear your better !!! looked like a great time was had...... one day maybe meet you and Ben am local to the PDX area also........ Love to see the Veterans out there.
im glad you are all recovered !! i was worried about heat as well but we started in Plush on 8/7 so it was way cooler , i broke my ankle about 20 miles from Christmas Valley on the first damned day of riding , i rode the rest of the way home to Wenatchee/Cashmere WA but almost all on pavement after that , we still stayed in Christmas valley , Bend , Govt camp , Stevenson WA , Packwood WA then home , did think it was broken but went to ER after getting home for X-rays and yup spiral fracture , 2 places.. that deep sand sucked id skip it , 2 & 5 both and if 1 is the same as 2 id skip that as well
That looks like it was a great time….. and on another note… After watching everywhere you’ve been this year, I believe your Jack’s Army 🎗🎗 sticker has the most miles on it for sure!! Good work!
Man, I’d love to come camp and ride with you folks!!! Self sufficient and local Portland!! That historic hwy 242 is a fun road and dumps you out at the beautiful McKenzie River area!! I love that zone around there!!! 🏍🤙🍻
Fun video. That looked like an awesome group. Wish I could make it, but it's a little far from AZ. Love the very end where Tim is fixing his KTM. They say you want to go somewhere fast, by a KTM. You want to get home, buy a Honda
I told Ben that I saw you and Tim up at Dee Wright on that Saturday but didn't have the nerve to come say hi before you guys were off. If you saw some crazy girl riding a blue MT09 (also riding with my friend on a white MT09) decked out with camping gear pointing at you/your bike, that was me lol
@@ExploreAdventureMoto lol I was switching out camera batteries and was almost finished by the time you guys were riding by. I wanted to get footage but was too slow! Next time!
Would definitely help. Coupled with switching to the vest/jersey as apposed to my jacket even more so. Gear is expensive however so have to use what I have.
Have you thought about a cooling vest? It’s 101f here so doing much of any riding without one is difficult. Oh and how do I get an invite to next year? I’ll ride up from So Cal. 😊
This year was open to channel members and patrons only. Not sure what he’ll do next year. Was nice to be at an event without vendors all over the place and just hang out/ride. Fun time
Thanks for coming out. Cool video!

20:26 Oh Deer!
"Another campout that's just a memory" Ahh, but a great memory it is, until we make new ones next year!
So glad you are ok after the BDR. I hope the after effects don't last and you can make a 100% recovery!
I think I'll go back in the fall. That was a great campground.
😎🤘🏼 haha… now that’s called camping ⛺️
WTF, how did I not hear about this? Especially with my Veteran buddies from Giant Loop. Looks like a perfect spot for Covid Therapy!
Y'all have to much fun!

Awesome video, and it was really cool meeting at the campout. Keep it up dude!
Nice country, enjoyed the video. Stay hairy!
Excellent vid. Great to see you are doing well.
VB40 Great group and great to be plugged in, you should be 2\;]
Are the dunes trying to take over the back country? So much sand eh . Great video Travis
Epic adventure brother 👊 hope to attend the next one
This was a blast. Really enjoyed seeing the natural comradery and infectious esprit de corps

Just ploppin some dirt around Bend, let them know where we came from.
cool event. I keep seeing the bucket hat ad and i'm trying to decide if i need one.
Amazing trip! Was fun riding with you all.
You guys are so lucky. We don’t have crap to ride down here in the southeast compared to what you guys have.
We are very lucky in the PNW yes.
I'm looking forward to making the trek to the Dork in the woods campout and meeting everyone, when the adventure van is ready. Probably in 25-26.
Great to see your prospective. Glad you are ok. Sad I won’t see you at RMR. Lots of time for Tarkov?
I spy a Drea in the opening sequence...must be the campground her and Jason host...good folks.
Yes they are awesome people.
That was a great weekend. Hoping it will be the first of many!

Was in the water in the hydration bladder 👍

I've stayed in hotel rooms smaller than that tent.

Yep I remember. You should have said hi. I really don’t stink that bad. And Tim is far nicer than we’ve lead people to believe…….

Don't harvest too many beer, save some for the spawn....
Kickass vid bruh...You can steal my beer anytime. I thought you were teabagging all my stuff, that was a much better outcome.
I did, just didn’t put it in the video 😘
I didn't drink any of your beer cuz Keto...teabagging, however...
@@DorkintheRoad This means war.
That looks like it was a good time.
Curious on your take to switching on lighter colored riding gear. Made a big difference for me in the heat. Especially at slow speeds.

What cooling vest do you have?
@@airadaimagery692 I don’t use one.
