I went out on a last minute wild camping trip with my dog Lolly the boxer dog. she is just over a year old and has been learning about camping and the like gradually. This camp was a turning point. I felt that she knew what we were doing and she embraced it and had a great time.
I cooked up some ostrich steaks on the Trangia, had a little camp fire and chilled in the forest.

I said the very same thing as a 10 year old at school and ment it to the religious maniac I was unfortunately saddled with for a form teacher and received an enraged wild eyed slap around the face. Crazy bitch. Times was different.
Lolly is great. Dinner looked nice, great adventure.
It was almost a perfect evening. I really enjoyed it. And I believe Lolly did, too.

What a great time, a man and his dog in the wild. Quality togetherness with no interruptions just pure bonding. Nice simple camp with plenty of comfort, good fire, good drinks and that Ostrich was fabulous but looked delicious. This was an excellent and much appreciated video, thanks for the work. Btw; Dunno how true, but I read somewhere that beer is supposed to be very good for their coat .... not sure I'd want to share mine though, with only a coupla "live soldiers" available; ...... you're a better man than I Gunga Din ; )
Well ...... cant say I've ever seen "ostrich and gubbins" on any menu ; ) I thought initially the ostrich was a brand name or colloquialism and had to look up gubbins ................ with ya now ; )
Ah yep, that's another perfect example of why I dig purple/lilac flowers in particular. And thanks for naming it mate; I am aware there's shipload of Rhododendrons in terms of form and color, but I'd never have placed it otherwise. Cheers Duke.
I'm told in this comment section that beer is not good for dogs, but I'm fairly sure its great for humans either.. but life is short, especially for the K9's so a little of what you fancy and all that.
