    Great video!
    I also had the Klymit V Luxe, ended up giving it to my brother for that lack of insulation problem you were talking about, I'm just too cold of a sleeper to have a sleeping pad with no insulation. I replaced it with my Exped Synmat UL pad, that also came with a pump sack so I don't have to use my breath and risk growing mold in my sleeping pad.
    Also! I really love Pack It Gourmet if you haven't tried those yet, love them. Some of them can be sodium heavy, but it's soooo good and I find that their cook time on the package seems to be more accurate than my experience with Backpacker's Pantry and Mountainhouse.
    I like those tank bags! Excellent idea!

    Reminds me of the James Bond movie (The man with the golden gun).
    "A gun in a bag of peanuts. How original. What will they think of next?"
    That knife and pistol is next level travel.
    Travel safe.

    I had to laugh, we were chatting last night and i remember watching this and asking you about those dmada bags probably from my first channel attempt moto camping gear. Small moto camping youtube world.
    I am hoping to get Idaho Bdr in this year again doing the North part solo and then possibly flying in the wife for the darby section down which should be interesting 2 up on a 701 for the first time off road lol.
    If I get up there I will make sure to hit you up. This year I have been meeting as many viewers and other channels as time and cash allows
    which has been pretty fun considering until last year I was pretty much a shut in reclusive type lol.

    Hey man. I own a Triumph Scrambler 1200XC and i can currently only put a tank bag, left side pannier and a small duffel bag or two on the back end of my seat. In short, not a ton of space. I want to go to the ADV rally in Julian California this upcoming November, assuming it isn’t canceled. What do you think is essential and/or I shouldn’t go off roading for a couple of days without?

Are there any more issues with your right foot peg mount? saw your last video of the camel brace two weeks ago, which convinced me, to buy one of my own. But if it won´t work when you drop your bike, I wouldn't purchase it back here from Germany :D A friend of mine will first try to weld my broken foot peg mount before I buy a new one and after that I will add the brace (plus model).

    Kyle, I love the video! Thank you for the details.
    I bought an Africa Twin and now I'm in the market for a new helmet, and I've been waiting for your review of the Krios Pro. I tried one on, and I have a slight hot spot on my forehead. Will that go away? For the price, I really want to love the Krios Pro, but I'm hesitant with the hot spot. ...or should I look at Arai XD4 or Shoei Hornet?

    • @backcountryadvmoto
      @backcountryadvmoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brian, Thanks for watching. I don't know about the hot spot, I didn't experience that. For me it was nice and plush from the moment i put it on. I know for some the helmet runs slightly big. For instance if you are a Large then consider going to a Medium and a XL to a L. Ive owned both the XD4 and the Hornet X2 in my opinon the Krios Pro is FAR better. Its way lighter than both and about as quiet as the X2 but breaths WAY better than the X2. The XD4 is a good helmet, but VERY loud. If the Krios fits you head shape go with the Krios hands down. In my opinion :)

    • @toby7504
      @toby7504 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Take the helmet that fit your head the best. Hotspots may ore may not go away, l have experience on bought. You can use your finger to push the helmet foam on the hotspots area, it may work, l have done it with luck on a shoei once.
      But l do recomend a helmet that fit your head at the beginning.

    • @brianmiller270
      @brianmiller270 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@backcountryadvmoto Kyle, thank you very much for the detailed information, that is very helpful. I found a local bike shop that ordered an XD4 for me to try on, and they also have the Klim, so I'm going to go try on the XD4 tomorrow, but I'll try a size down on the Krios and see if that makes a difference. I'm really looking forward to your videos on the Utah BDR, that is ride I would like to do in the near future. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out with the helmet decision.

    • @brianmiller270
      @brianmiller270 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toby7504 Thanks for your view point too. I appreciate you taking the time to provide your experience. I wish that the Krios Pro fit perfectly, because the Spec Sheet tells me that it is by far the best ADV helmet on the market, but it's hard to fork over that much money when it might not be the best fit. I'll try on the other tomorrow and see if I can't make a wise decision. Thanks again for your time and helpful information.

      @@brianmiller270 You are absout welcome sir. That krios is a fantastic helmet so l do understand that you want it. However im lucky to fit it perfect myself. Unfortunal l dont fit arai and shoei that god. At the moment l ride with a xlite x551 adv helmet that fit me perfect. That helmet is called x551GT now days.

      +Cody & Brooke Hanson no it really doesn’t. And I don’t always ride with one. On longer trips where I want to carry extra water I will. But I’ve recently moved to a fanny pack style water hydration system. Seems to work really well. If you are going to ride with a backpack make sure it has some type of harness that keeps it from bouncing around whether it be a kidney belt or similar
