Hey Mr. Heilpern, I received the Jazz Harmonica Summit DVD the other day, and love it! Some hot jazz harp, some atmospheric moody evocative tunes, and some sweet and tasty playing by you, Slideman Slim. Great players, great music, most excellent. Are there other years that the Summit happened, and are they available? I would buy them all.
Hi Drew. Glad you're enjoying the DVD! Unfortunately this was a one-off event. It was super fun and we all had a terrific time. However, it was not financially successful (to say the least) even though I did all the post-production audio and video work myself (huge effort!). So, between the lost money and consuming all of my spare time for over a year, I haven't had the motivation to do it again ;-).
Really like the imaginative use of double-stops and the "harmoni-montuno" chorus.
