    Nice job guys.
You are not a water snobs. We have beautiful well water at home that is 100% pure H20 so when we go camping we take water from home with us in special containers.

Thank you, it is a running joke between Chris & I. I’m from Alaska and I love the water there.

for the price of the softener, they should use brass fittings. great video, thanks for sharing

Hey John, thanks for watching our video and supporting our channel. We 100% agree they should have the brass from the factory.

Hey Chris. How did you mount these devices to keep them from moving when traveling?

Hey Mo, I’m glad you found it. Sorry for the delay, we weren’t on much yesterday.

I knew yall did this so I had to search and find it. We just have the 2 filter clearsource. We will have to figure out what to throw out because our storage is already full lol.

We love our Clearsource. We’re up in Indiana & the campground water here is gross, but we can actually drink the water that’s run through our Clearsource. Thank you for watching our video 🤗

I'm concidering doing something similar to this with our RV. I have a daughter with OCPD that is concerned (to say the least) about amoebas and I hope this will help her feel comfortable with the water quality. Thanks for making the video!

Hey Sean, thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. We have been very happy with the quality of the water filtration system. We recently purchased the Blu Technology water hoses and they are excellent. We are not sponsored by any of these companies and have tried many variations of hoses and the stainless steel braided hoses with the quick disconnects have been excellent.

One of the issues I have seen with other filtration systems is a significant reduction of water flow in the coach. How is yours?

    • @VenturesomeCouple
      @VenturesomeCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Rich,
We have not had a noticeable reduction of water flow using the triple filter and the softener. Both items a rated a lot higher 90-125psi than what we run. If the rv park supports it I will run 50psi in and I am thrilled with the results.

Snobby water, is there a t-shirt idea? Great video, guys. The K.I.S.S. principle is the best😉. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels.

Thank you for this video, my searching for which way to install both ClearSource and water softener (in that order) paid off! I too had issues with cross threading the plastic on the softener but found the right combination without damaging it!

Nice setup! I would be afraid of a leak popping up out of nowhere. I have seen too many issues with water filtration setups in bays that leak and are not found and causing a lot of damage. Great video

Hey Philip, thank you for watching the video and supporting our channel. Your advice on the filtration system is taken to heart and a valid concern. We keep a very close eye on it and have water sensors in the bay from our Ring video.

Hi Chris and Martha. I’ve noticed that using the On The Go water softener that other channels have demonstrated requires wasting a severe amount of water to recharge the units salt periodically. Because of the amount of water that is wasted, it is an extreme turn off for me since I come from an area where water rationing and management is a regular occurrence in our sticks and bricks. So the idea of letting water run down the drain or campsite for an hour as part of routine maintenance is not an acceptable solution for us. I noticed that you put your unit inside your basement. Does it not require frequent access and the wasting of water that I mentioned like the other brand? And does it require salt? I’m extremely interested in the brand you’ve chosen if it doesn’t waste water💦. Thank you in advance. Rick and Ellen, Southern California ✨🏝🌴😎

      Good afternoon Rick,
I would love to say that the regeneration process doesn’t occur with our system but it does. Our manufacturer recommends 15-20 minutes of back flushing before we reach 3 grains or 50ppm of hard water. We do have to add salt on a frequent basis depending on water consumption to keep the water quality where we like it for softness and flavor. When we add salt it takes 5 -10 minutes of back flushing to get the balance. As for mounting it in the basement we chose to do that because we have a lot of space, less likely to be stolen, and doesn’t degrade due to UV.

@@VenturesomeCouple Thank you for that information. I remember you telling us about the benefits of storing the unit below, i was hoping you were not having to do the salt regen and could leave it stowed, but that was just wishful thinking on my part. I appreciate the effort you both put into your channel sharing your experiences. Take care and happy travels.😎
