      Sure thing. I use all Blu Technology stainless steel hoses, elbows, pressure regulators and everything else now.

    Chris. Why would you want to use black tank flush out water coming from your water softener - filters? Using up the filter - decadence beads - salt in the softener for no understandable reason.

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, You don’t really. Sometimes I have a two way valve hooked up before my softener and I hook my black flush there.
      Just depends on how I had it setup.

    Awesome info. I too use the quick disconnects. They are a thread saver for sure. Ha ha. Thanks for the info.

      Love the quick connects. My new favorite hoses and quick connects come from Blu Technology. They are SOLID!! Great safe stainless steel as well better than brass for drinking water. Here’s a link to their website if you want to check them out. Go to accessories and check out the hoses and quick connects. If you are interested using this link also saves you 7%

    Great tips TY. Installed the Blu-Tech R3 into our Class A wet bay which performs 1)Sediment, 2) 0.2 micron safety and 3) Charcoal for the whole house. The pressure regulator I installed directly onto the fresh water electric hose reel such that we have nothing on the campground spigot except a splitter. Also, eliminated the stiff white nylon outdoor shower hose & head and cheap faucet and replaced with a better plastic & metal faucet with quick-connect so can dispense hot/warm/cold water into bucket / connect garden hose for rig washing/ flush blk tank, etc. right from the bay. Have not felt the need for a softener yet but like your recommendation. Probably depends on where you travel and water quality. Looks like you use a test strip to measure salinity? or PH? prior to hooking up the softener. I enjoy smoothing out those operations that need to be repeated too.

    Do all the attachments reduce the final water pressure inside the RV?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope not for us anyways. Here’s a link to the filtration system we use now and all Blu Tech attachments. All food grade stainless steel quick connects, hoses, 90 degree elbows, and pressure regulator. Real heavy duty quality. Love there stuff and filters.

    What filter did you use at the spigot? Do you usually put the softener first, then the filter?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No use a basic filter first right at the spigot to get the big stuff like sand and sediment. Just a basic inline water filter like this…

      The a water softener then

    You created a lot of questions. Let’s start with why is you pressure reg by the Faust and not in the wet bay? The longer the hose the more pressure you lose , plus in cold weather it is in a heated compartment.
    How often do you change that filter in the wet bay? Normally it takes a 3 filter system to get that low on microns.
    Last one. I have a 2 stage water filter that sits out side. Should the softener be before or after that 2 stage filter? Thanks your videos are great

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, appreciate that. The water regulator will tell you right in the instructions it should be attached right at the spigot and everything else attached after it. If you RV in winter time where it may go below freezing, yes, it should be removed or moved. I change my 0.2 micron filters about every 3 months but this can vary depending on your location and water running through them.
      I would have the water softener before your filters. This way the water already has less calcium build up before going through the filters. 👍🏼

      I use my softener after filters. I don't want to filter the softened water.

    Did you build the cover for the access to your wet bay? Or is that something I can purchase?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Chris, I’m not to sure what you are referencing? My wet bay is just accessed through my baggage doors. Are you talking about something?

    • @chrisdahlin203
      @chrisdahlin203 ปีที่แล้ว

      The circle cutout you put your hoses through that typically has the screw on cover when traveling. I noticed you had almost like a rubbery cover to keep mice and bugs out. Thanks for your reply!
