It is a misconception though in ww2 a lot of Americans were stationed in the United Kingdom. The local food was nasty stuff like beans and toast but they were going through a tough time and were given rations that were not appetizing but easily accessible. Then when the American soldiers returned home and talked about the bad rations people believed and spread the rumor that the uk had awful food.

B) How many new foods do you expect us to invent when so many have already been invented. C) We can just make already invented foods like curry ( which is also very popular in Britain and some curries were invented in Britain with Indian influence). D) Cooking isn’t the only use for spices, you can sell spices for a high profit (especially back in those days when there wasn’t international shipping and trade on a large scale until people like the British conquered place that had spices like India)

Th UK is way more culturally tied to the US as to Mainland Europe.

From my experience, Germans are pretty serious but seem far more genuine than most Americans I've encounter. Like there is no backhanded "bless your heart" with them. What you see is what you get. I've dealt with the stares but I respond by staring into your soul as I pass you lol then usually we speak to one another mid passing. And the place is peaceful and citizens are not afraid to address their historical shortcomings and condemn that ish. I genuinely respect it.

Kind is when you show genuine compassion and empathy for others
Most people are nice but not kind. You can be both. You can also be kind but not nice. (My favorite type of person tbh) Very blunt and can be a little rude but won’t cross any lines and will drop everything when you need them. Feels a lot more real than nice people, even if they’re also kind
