💅🥺Worst Client Ever! Broken Nail Soak off🥺💅

- Hey, Guys welcome to the Kirsty Meakin Show today we are going to do a soak-off on Fay.
I'll start with the Navy Tools nail cutters and take the length off the nails, next ill take my Navy Tools nippers and remove what stones are left on the nails.
Now I’m going to use my E-file with the Kirsty Meakin de-bulking bit and ill use that to take the topcoat and Gel Polish off the nails along with 80% of the acrylic, don’t forget to use a dust extractor I’m using one by Nailchemy and I’m also using the Mini Toy Nail Drill by eNailcouture at 15 next up ill go over the nail using a ceramic sanding band to make the remaining acrylic more porous.
Now I’ll take some tin foil I’m using hairdressing foil and I'll tare off one piece for each finger, then I’ll take some cotton wool and saturate it with acetone and place over then nails and then wrap those in tin foil and leave those for ten mins to soak.
After ten mins ill unwrap my nails and then using the NailGaga cuticle pusher ill just scrape all that flakey acrylic off the nails if there is still acrylic on the nails repeat the process.
When the nails are completely soaked off ill add some cuticle oil I’m using passionfruit by NaffStuff
Now ill set up my metal file board first ill clean it with the Navy Tools Hygiene system and then stick on a 240 grit file sticker and smooth over the nails
Now ill take the Navy Tools Nail Clippers and cut the nails down to the desired length and file them into shape.
Now ill do my nail prep starting with the cuticle bit and my file in reverse and tidy up the cuticles and get rid of any nonliving tissue, then ill use the proximal fold bit and go over the proximal fold and again get rid of any nonliving tissue.
Now ill apply some cuticle oil to hydrate the nails and that’s it!

I like how you take off the acrylic. Most salons just soak for 2 mins then go back and forth with the drill to get you in and out

I love all your videos and Faye is (as always) amazeballs! However, I had to tell you how much I love your choice of tee shirt, Kirsty!!! My daughter is 22 and Autistic and adores MJ so much that she has his picture plastering every inch of her room, including the ceiling. I went skiing 🎿 YEARS ago, like baby nail tech YEARS ago. At the end of the day, umpteen falls later, I pulled my gloves 🧤 off and all my nails 💅🏻 were in my gloves!😳

I have to agree with Fay on the whole natural nail length thing. If I wear my natural nails with gel polish (which is very rare these days), I can only stand for them to be little nubs lol. When I'm wearing extensions, I absolutely cannot stand to see my natural nail underneath. When I fill them every 2 weeks, I take my efile to the natural nail under my extensions and file my natural nail back down as low as I comfortably can.
P.S. - Adam, I'm LOVING the slo-mo shots! Very cool!

Ok besides the nails, I’ve never seen anything like what you’re skiing on, I’m in the US and they’ll blow in artificial snow in some areas of needed but, that mat thingy looks like way too much fun, I wonder if it’s spongy?
It’s like a whole rug of rollerblade wheels, for lack of a better way to describe it. We have them around here too. Pro contest skiers that live in like Tx or something still have to practice. I’m not sure specifically where they are, since they can be moved around, but I’ve heard they’ll let even amateurs play around on them! I’d love to try it too. I’d call a ski shop in your state and see if they know if one is open in your area!

They might be good for throwing after every client, but those sanding bands aren't any good for the environment, which is why I choose sanitisable products. Less waste to throw away, means less carbon footprint.
You can actually recycle them, throw them in the recycling bin.
@@gilliansilvester5596 not where I live in the UK. My council is rubbish (pun intended), when it comes to recycling. We aren't allowed to put butter tubs or yogurt tubs in, plus a load of other stuff. Because they don't have a good deal with the company who sorts the rubbish basically. So, no, I can't put them in the green bins. 🤷♀️

@@sammiepittman3130 these bands have a piece of rubber to the inside of it. Unless you're going to very carefully peel this piece of rubber out of the cardboard tube, I would have to say no, they aren't. No one in a recycling centre, is going to stoop to the point of picking up tiny little items like this. If you put things in paper recycling that aren't supposed to be in there, you ruin the whole load and sometimes they'll bin the entire lot. Unless you have a dedicated recycling company that only recycles these things?
