We accidentally released this several months ago, not realizing that it had top-secret stuff in it. But my Gel Polishes have been declassified now.

Kirsty I love all your other designs but these are hands down my favourite. Such a relatively simple technique (provided you can do one stroke 🤣) but the pay-off is just stunning 💛

I have been trying to learn those 1stroke flowers for over a year I’ve even took painting classes on canvas but ty so very much bc after watching this video I now understand how to do it! Not only r u a great nail tech/ artist but a great teacher for us difficult to learn students lol again ty!
I’m not a nail tech but I went to school for make up artistry and special effects: if you still need a bit of practice and sharpening up, try a body or face painting class 🤓 they use all of those techniques but the techniques and designs you learn match common nail art designs a little bit better than canvas painting. Everything I learned about face and body painting techniques can be applied to nail art ☺️

Flowers were so beautiful. I would have preferred the red under and flowers left on top. Maybe a hint of red & green sparkle detail paint. You are so talented. Shame to cover it up even a little.
These look really detailed and really hard to do and would need a lot of talent to do them lol but nope you showed us how easy it is! lol Beautiful!! 😍😍 Just MY opinion I think your gel polishes are to good and to pigmented to do this type of design lol in MY opinion it’s just a little hard to see the design underneath.. if I was doing this design I would of mixed your beautiful Vamp gel polish with some clear top coat to dilute it just a tiny bit and make more of a jelly polish that way the design underneath pops a bit more.. but that’s just MY own opinion.. it all just comes down to how deep toned the clients wants it 😊 Also isn’t this a super old video? Faye had that brown set on a loooong time ago didn’t she? Gorgeous as always love! Thanks for sharing!!

I’m surprised you didn’t mix the color with topcoat to make it more transparent, or would that not workout the same?
This is probably a stupid question.... y not just mix the color polish with some top coat or base coat to make it not as opaque?

I have a completely random question for Kirsty or any nail technicians here, but I get my nails done at a salon and am OBSESSED with Ms. Kirsty Meakins work so I want to try her gel polishes so badly it hurts that I haven't yet lol. Would a nail technician find it weird or like offensive if I brought my own (Kirstys) gel polish to use at the salon on my acrylic nails with the Kirsty clear gel polish too?

That cover color has discolored, if those were filled with the same color or am I crazy ?
It’s not your fault Kirsty in anyway shape or form.
I've noticed some acrylic brands change colour when you don't apply a clear overlay. It seems clear protects the cover from changing colour in the sun, or day to day life. But not many people overlay the cover if they do an extended nail bed anymore.
I think Faye uses self tanner (or she’s a smoker which I don’t think she is lol) i noticed a lot of the times the cover color is always stained when she comes backs for a redesign.. a lot of the times Kirsty covers it up and sometimes like this set she didn’t.. she must of not noticed the difference in color this set.. that’s why it looks like that bc it’s still stained.. there has been a few sets Kirsty didn’t cover the stained part up but I don’t think she even notices it Bc if she did she definitely would of filed it all off or covered it all up with fresh new cover powder.. but it’s definitely not the acrylic powder it’s Fayes self tanner 😂😂 as long as Faye is happy that’s all that matters right? HahahA
@@V.I.C. that's not always the case with acrylic. Like I said above, some acrylics DO change colour, sometimes in the sun, sometimes with age. I've found it stops some of the darkening with a few brands, if the cover pink is encapsulated with clear. It's sometimes caused by the monomer formula not having enough uv protection ingredients added. Occasionally, it's just the surface of the powder that changes, and simply by filling off and reapplying a fresh bead, it fixes the problem. On other occasions, the colour change is throughout the application. It also seems to happen with layering as well. For example, an old layer has a fresh layer applied on top, but with an area of new, perhaps by the cuticle, the older area covered will appear darker, while the newer area looks lighter.
I think the original design was actually ombré, I’m sure Kirsty would not have put such a beautiful design on top if not

I agree 100% with everything you just said.. but she was asking about the situation with this set that’s why I responded with what I did.. this situation is Bc Fay self tans lol Kirsty has mentioned that before.. this set and all the sets before this set were all used with Naio Nail and Kirsty almost always used the same cover powder on Faye every time.. and any time she used that cover powder on anyone else it never stained or changed colors.. it just stains on Faye lol so this situation is Fayes self tanner staining but yes your correct about other powders changing and stuff like that 😊
