Naaaah. It’s annoying to grow so the average person probably won’t bother. Plus, a major reason weed was legalized was for states to collect high taxes on it. States want that price gouging, and I’d bet allowing growing will open the doors to a new taxable product (seeds) to benefit the dispensaries and state.

Every time I hear about some record-breaking heat wave, rainfall, or other meteorological disaster, I'm reminded of how badly we're _not_ reacting to all this.

Those Manitobans stock up on chicken, cheese, cold cereal, coffee, tea, shoes, small appliances, eyeglasses, booze, DIY products, health and beauty supplies, etc, filling their SUVs to the brim every weekend. Why is that? Prices are 30 to 50 % lower in North Dakota than in Winnipeg, for the exact same items. North Dakota also gets an abundance of Canadians who come down for medical treatment--while it's more expensive, they can get their surgeries done faster in North Dakota than back home in Manitoba.
The consistency of this show is impeccable. That it is constantly improving, becoming a better version of itself, now that's astounding. It never ever disappoints.

I'm assuming that is up to 5 pounds of fresh plant material, including stems etc & all the moisture in a fresh plant. I'm not a pot grower, but that amount doesn't actually seem unreasonable to me, I mean if only legally allowed 3 plants, does it not make sense that some would prune & fertilise so as to get the biggest plants possible? Amount of material allowed needs to be beyond what is possible to grow in even the best conditions or there will be problems with the law

I live in Western Australia and we are very used to the heat but I was in Mexico this time last year, and Mexico City and much of the southern USA was experiencing a serious heat wave. It was 56 degrees Celsius in Death Valley, and workers in Texas were dying from the heat. At the same time here, the Northern Territory government was mandating more workers on outdoor work sites and more mandatory water breaks in order to keep people safe from the heat. In Texas Greg Abbott was pushing for less mandatory water breaks. That is not poor governance, that is evil, pure and simple. We have a joke in my house that the tree that fell on Abbot when he was out jogging had one job, just one, and it couldn't manage tp do it properly.
Stephen just gets funnier and funnier. It's just incredible, my goodness. How can things possibly get any better than this?

Climate change is a complex global phenomenon. Regional and temporal variations are to be expected. Records can be expected to be broken, including low temperature records in some places.
However, patterns of more extreme weather; droughts, floods, hurricanes etc. can be expected to increase.
In the case of Australia, glacial melt water from the Antarctic is thought to be cooling the Eastern Pacific.
It seems that the fridge door to its South has been left open (i.e. Antarctica is melting). However, although it may feel cooling to rest one’s head against an open fridge, an open fridge will actually make the kitchen warmer.
So, Australia’s current cold snap, will likely not be indicative of overall temperatures, and it is to be expected that summer temperature records will also continue to be broken.
Exactly what weather patterns will be driven by the contrast of cooling water in the Eastern Pacific and warming water in the Western Pacific is hard to project, but increasing drought in the Horn Of Africa and Southwest of the US are distinct possibilities.
To use another analogy, we can see the run away truck rolling down the hill. Exactly, what damage it will do when it reaches the bottom we don’t yet know. But it’s unlikely to be pretty.

How more people can't see that weed was demonized by the "WAR ON DRUGS" and in reality, has many healing and positive effects.
For me, I get nauseated regularly. I also have a difficult time sleeping, chronic pain, and anxiety. For all of these I can eat a cookie with some in it and be able to relax, be able to eat a meal, or stop vomiting, I can go to sleep at night.
The medications that I'd be prescribed for all these ailments would have many horrible side effects and most Rxs you cannot be on long term.
That is not the case with edibles or even smoking a bowl.
If you have no tolerance, you should start off very slow or it could possibly cause anxiety or strange feelings but after a couple times it just mellows you out and relaxes you.
If you smoke a different strain though, there is indica and sativa. I can't remember which is which lol, I believe sativa is the more calming and indica gives you a little more of an energy boost and you will want to go do something creative or just be more active, go for a walk, go play some disc golf or something.
The lack of horrible side effects alone is enough for me to not think twice, without it I'd shrivel up and turn into a skeleton.
I got down to 99 lbs a few years AFTER having a child, I was unable to eat much and when i could it would upset my stomach.
This allowed me to eat more and hold it down. I was able to gain weight and am now up to 125 lbs. I'm 46 now and without it, I honestly don't think I would be alive.
It has countless medicinal properties and I can see how you could get addicted to it, but it's not like cocaine or heroin. You're not going to go out and steal or do unsafe, illegal or unsavory acts just to go get more.
I've heard a couple people claim they were this addicted, but I find it very difficult to see it any different than your morning coffee or a glass of wine. And I mean a glass of wine, not the bottle or hard liquor etc.
Drinking a little wine can also be advantageous for relaxation, high blood pressure, etc.

Please take the heat seriously. British Columbia had a week long heat wave a couple years ago and it was bad. Over 300 people died, crops died, and everything living in the water near the coast died too.
Make sure elderly, disabled people and children are checked on. Take care of your animals too - shade, lots of water, kiddy pool of cold water for outdoor dogs or bring them in. Dampen your cats ears and fur and add water to their wet food. Remember they’re small like little kids so susceptible to severe illness and death.
