Dear Rachel or Rachels producer. I'm a life long Reagan Republican and retired from the Navy about 10 years ago. I implore you.. to find a way to have MORE Republican guests who are "Against Trump". Maybe Lincoln Project minded shorts, Veterans against Trump.. any guest who might help erode Trump cult members who haven't lost all their values or those Cult members who loved Reagan and can be reminded about Trump's PRO Putin / anti democracy stance. I don't have the answers, but every Lincoln Project short video seems impactful, where your well produced show only really serves those looking for confirmation bias.

I am a big fan of Rachel's since her radio days, and aside from her opening essay each night, in which she explains HER take on a topic, she will interview anyone and everyone and has.
I think some LP people if memory serves.
It is a fine idea, but the people who need to see LP ads against Trump have confirmation bias of their own, PARTICULARLY a bias in favor of fast punchy stuff like LP does. Not really what she does. She would discuss the ads and how they work. People with attention span problems would tune out and more likely not tune in in the first place. *Veterans Against Trump* should be everywhere, yes, Rachel focuses on Veterans frequently, she'd do a great interview that a lot of conservative folks would pay attention to because policy on our Vets affects someone they know. It's real.
*(Like the abortion issue is real now to so many women who thought that they would never have to worry one way or the other about it, not really thinking their pregnancies could go wrong or their doctors would be frightened of treating them.)*

I caught this a few days ago. All i could think is how painful it must be to carry to term knowing the infant won't survive. What a horrible thing for politicians to force families to endure.
It's true that "only 12% of Alaska voters are Democrats" (12.27% to be exact), but that doesn't present a complete picture. It doesn't mean that the rest are Republicans. In fact, only 23.16% of Alaska voters are registered as Republicans. 59.48% are registered as unaffiliated, and 5.08% as "third party or other" (and believe me, here in Alaska, some of those "other" are pretty darn "other").
So, unaffiliated, third party, and "other" voters comprise about twice as many voters as Republicans and Democrats combined.
Rep. Peltola's election victory was a more complicated story than just red vs. blue. Abortion rights was a substantial part. I'll vote for her again, but she's going to have a tougher race next time. Alaskan and out-of-state right wing groups are going to target her.

Oh, gosh, thank you, we needed a man to tell us the history of reproductive rights and how we're reacting to what happened to them. A man who wasn't paying attention to the 50 years of activism to keep abortion safe and legal knows better than anyone who was doing the work. Nobody could possibly have been trying or it would've worked. After all, this man says so. It must be true. And it's also only up to women to do the work. Clearly, he's entitled to say this despite the fact reproductive rights include whether he can get a vasectomy. Now it's time for him to be right about all of it and more. Tell me, good man, what should I eat for lunch? You're so smart, you can't possibly be less right than me and my doctor.

Why are voters upset? Its not about Wall Street. The average voter doesn't feel good about the economy because the average voter can NOT afford a house these days. Property appraisals and taxes have spiked upwards. Even apartment rent has skyrocketed. It's not just about Wall Street.
For instance....the county next to mine had an influx of wealthy residents move in...in the next few years property taxes and housing prices went up...businesses moved in catering to the " upward mobile" and wealthy. Better roads, more roads etc.... Better services became available. Etc., etc. A real shock to the "locals". Tech businesses brought a lot of changes....just like small towns started dying when trains stopped running and roads became king...times change. I expect as climate continues...we'll see migration movement throughout the country. Times change.
The average voter is doing much better than 4 years ago when unemployment was high, people were dying because COVID had been mismanaged, small businesses were closing down, GDP shrunk, foreign debt skyrocketed, and perspectives were grim.
Now the POTUS is building infrastructure and developing the entire nation.
The Economy is great. Best ever. President Biden has done a great job.
