    Just to clarify - because in the original full stream people watched this part of the stream and came to the conclusion i'm defending Balenciaga.
    The reason why it feels like no one cares about the Balenciaga scandal is because the people that actually buy the brand didn't boycott it. So people like me (even though I criticise Balenciaga all the time) can't really move the needle or do anything that leads to significant change because I am not affecting their bottomline (money). That's just me making a clear observation.
    It's the same reason why Dolce & Gabanna continues to thrive despite their problematic scandals over the past few years: www.highsnobiety.com/p/dolce-gabbana-alta-moda-venice/
    If the customers don't stop buying, the brands will continue as normal. The only thing that causes major corperations to change is when something starts to affect how much money they're making.

      @@OfficialROZWBRAZELI’m a Balenciaga customer, so I will answer. For myself it’d have to be something where actual people were hurt, not just some internet hysteria around teddy bears in bondage outfits.

    I am really suprised at how many non-fashion people I know dislike balenciaga because of the scandal that happened. I am not a huge fan or consumer of balenciaga pre and post controversy, but I notice when I talk about the brand to some normal people and even people who work in fashion, they always bring up the controversy. I didn't know it had that much of an impact in day to day society. But you are right, none of their core fashion fanbase abandoned them, so they are still around.

    They can’t be cancelled completely, however they have had to close several stores in the US

    It’s not cancelling if it’s not by your own community, because cancelling(at least in it’s original intention) is basically modern exile.

    Personally, with the exception of a few pieces, I’ve never liked Demna’s version of Balenciaga

    It's not that they cannot be cancelled it's basically because people simply don't want too love or hate them they are now a aspirational brand i personally would not touch them with a 20ft barge pole after the creepyness with kids multiple times but celebrities and influencers eat it up they will speak out one day and buy a new 20k Jacket the next

    because demna as a designer knows and calls out the industry under there own noses and when they do find out like the “bear” scandal they immediately shut it down crazy to see how in plane sight punk philosophy has become in fashion not just from a retrospective point of view

      @Spiritualdegenerate 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      speaking of to continue on the bear scandal i had a theory for the longest that it was a commentary on alot of the diddy thpe stuff going on in the industry considering who demna was working with at the time and at lvmh and thats why media backlash was so horrible becaise anything thats that hated and not even given the point of day by media is being hidden on purpose like only surface level

    It’s hard to cancel Balenciaga because they have tons of great shoes and bag styles, with a unique aesthetic. If you want a trashy looking designer bag or shoes, where else can you go? The other high end designer brands all have a clean aesthetic.

      I agree it actually really frustrated me that they just had to be creepy about kids because some of their clothes i actually like even the stranger stuff it's got a almost punk quality to it all the other brands particularly the clothing for men is always pristine looking and boring but as a Uncle I choose kids over them and will never give them the steam of my shit let alone money

    Balenciaga is for tasteless talentless fashion wannabes of hype. They troll Nuevo rich, with their garbage - besides the controversy. Crap quality, no authenticity, cringe for narcissists.
