      @scolexuk That has nothing to do with the death penalty. That means that we shouldn’t seek out personal vengeance against those who have hurt us, but that we should pray for them.
      The topic of state having the right to execute heinous murderers is a different topic entirely. The Mosaic covenant was fulfilled and revoked, but Genesis 9 never was, and Romans 13 states that God says we should submit to ruling authorities in ways that do not break God’s eternal law.

      Is there actually groups of people reading every comment and deciding what’s acceptable or is it an AI? I’ve had warnings for asking innocent questions on cooking channels, they even ask for feedback and when I ask what exactly have I said I never get a response, I’m wondering if it’s an AI that’s been programmed to scan certain words and phrase coz I also noticed they do a very sneaky thing of leaving your comment up but only you can see it so you think it hasn’t been deleted until someone else looks for it. Or your comment can be deleted and someone else can say the same and it gets left up. Also mentioning certain people, countries, religions seem to guarantee a warning, but very one sided like they want us all to think a certain way and believe everyone else does. I’m having to write in code now which makes me think it’s AI scanning everything as a human would understand, but that means someone must be programming it to think a certain way and to block what we say

I can only forgive her, and pray that her time here is in the hands of our Lord, and that he will decide for us just how she should be dealt with here in this world.

My soul left my body, I was immediately in Jesus arms. He was the most comfort in that hug that I have ever had while my soul has been in my body. He gave me complete love, peace and safety, such kindness in His eyes and smile, He had a gold tinged light from Him. He loves children, I sadly for whatever reason had to leave that embrace and come back into my body. They say the death penalty is inhumane but i think its inhumane to house these people with inamates that arent murderers. Imagine being cellmates with murderers with nothing to lose. This places inmates into dangerous situations either they defend themselves and get more time or they become the murderers next victim.

      That's what I wanted to think also but I've seen lots and lots of comments on several videos on this that it doesn't work that way in women's prison. A man's time in prison after such a crime would be in hours before true justice would be served but women won't do much. Sooo, let's send the monster to a men's prison.

      It's understandable. I don't know what the answer is. We are all flawed. A pastor explained to me that God knows we will be more emotional when our loved ones are harmed, so he established the government for impartial justice. At this point, many of man's laws are not based on God's laws (sanctioning and protecting those who murder babies). So now you have a justice system that is not operating in the manner ordained by God. The people running the justice system are corrupt. So what is worse? An emotional family member serving justice or corrupt individuals who have abandoned God, His laws and His justice?

Her body tells me she is trying to be strong and spiteful. My own brother had the same face when he would destroy my things. He did it because he believed he could get away with it as if he had no reason for loving and there was no point in doing good because narcissism is a victim mentality that screams there is no amount of privilege given to them when we apparently owe them more that we can ever give so they take everything we have and still are not satisfied. we are not to kill. she needs Jesus and we are to love thy neighbour. What a test this woman is for a Christian. May God bless her.

    The core purpose of justice is punishment. Rehabilitation and deterrence are both great by-products of justice, and if we can take steps to increase the effect of both, we should do so. But they cannot replace punishment as the central purpose of what justice is for. If you knew for a fact that someone could not be rehabilitated, would you say, "ah well, this person shouldn't receive any penalty for their crime?" or if you knew for a fact that punishing a criminal today would have zero impact on someone in the courthouse going out and committing the same crime tomorrow, would you therefore conclude that it was pointless to punish the first criminal?
    Justice ultimately is a line in the sand. Justice doesn't guarantee that bad things won't happen, and it doesn't guarantee that the world tomorrow will be a safer place. But justice does tell each of us very clearly what the consequences are for crossing that line. It sets a barrier between things that are acceptable, and things that are not just unacceptable, but immoral and/or criminal, and it sets a clear price for undertaking such things.

    Look I agree with you about how this person should have gotten the death penalty and that the justice system isn’t working but the reason for long wait times for death sentences is so that if any new evidence pops up that disproves that the guy we sent to prison actually did it or not they can redo the trail again and possibly get out of jail and be given restitution for the wrongful time spent in jail

    • @plantor0728
      @plantor0728 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There was actually a story way back when of a murder and S.A. that happened and the only thing the police had to go on was that the murderer had a snaggletooth and because of that they found a guy who had one that lived relatively close to the murder and pinned it on him, well he gets sentenced to death and while awaiting the death sentence dna evidence starts becoming a thing well the guy thinks that this could be his ticket out so he asks if they could do a dna match between him and the bodily fluids found at the crime scene, when the evidence came back it was shown to be a completely different person and the actual one who had committed the crime lived in the same neighborhood and also just happened to have a snaggletooth. So they got the real one who did it and now I believe he’s gone

  • @Clem321

    For any Anglicans watching, the death penalty (in certain circumstances) judiciously applied has been historically understood to be a part of sound Christian doctrine.
    Note this section of Article 37 of the ‘39 Articles of Religion’:
    “The Laws of the Realm may punish Christian men with death, for heinous and grievous offences.”
    I am not a judge nor a theologian. I would not pontificate on whether the death penalty needs to be applied in this particular instance, but I would argue that the death penalty judiciously applied does have the warrant of Scripture and tradition in at least some few particular circumstances.
