Jason eliminating himself was a blessing in disguise. Most guys would stay for The Fame or to try to become the next Bachelor. Tayshia shouldn't 2nd guess herself. Jason's honesty helped her out

I feel bad for Jason, Clare made him open up and he even explained why it scares him and then she goes and leaves doing exactly what he feared. Love is Battlefield, but at least he was honest about his feelings and was straight up with tayshia.
I forgot they were on that one-on-one date. It's no wonder Jason still has feelings for Clare.
She was very manipulative on that one on one. Jason didn't owe her anything. She dragged those answers out of him.
And that is why Clare and Dale are not going to work. She did not bother to get Dale to open up first with more conversations about himself. She took the lead in the whole conversation b/c she had already stalked his instragram and felt she knew everything of her fantasy hubby to be. Yes she was so smitten by that hunk of caramel loving that she totally dismissed the common sense and maturity of Jason. Glad that Jason did leave b/c if he was feeling no need to waste time and play games with a bunch of guys drooling over the new girl with whom he may not have much of a chance.

Very refreshing episode. I really liked how Tayshia introduced herself to every guy, like they were meeting in real life and not on tv set up by producers. She's very natural and can have a conversation with anyone, we actually learned about the guys this episode lol. I would even argue to do a surprise lead again because moments like Brendan learning that she was divorced instead of him sussing that out ("I bought a book on alzheimer's".....) make the experience more genuine
Typically it is a surprise bachelor/bachelorette. At least to the contestants, since they get casted before the lead is often cast. This year COVID threw that all off.
@@rhythmandmotiongirl the casting process is long and the producers cast with the lead in mind. There is definitely time between when the lead is publicly announced (or revealed to contestants who signed an NDA) to when they start filming which is why they usually have some knowledge of the lead's history, prepared gifts/entrance stunts, etc. I was referring to Tayshia showing up unannounced after the men had entered the "bachelor bubble." Contestants who didn't watch her bach appearances would have no previous knowledge or biases about her.
These recaps are better than the actual show...

Tayshia seems to genuinely get along with all the men so far and it's so refreshing. She's friendly with all of them and something tells me she knows exactly what she's looking for and is going to let the guys down easy who don't meet her standards. I'm excited to watch.

Yeah, but I honestly thought that was hilarious. But for them it was too soon, I guess, even though they all seemed to forget her immediately. (Except Jason.)

I think all of the original guys felt insecure when they heard new guys were coming and then took it out on Spencer because he was the first one in the door. If Spencer showed up night one of Claire's season with all of these other guys, there would not be so much drama around him.
I agree. I understand their frustration but at the same time, Tayshia deserves some new guys who came for her and not originally for Clare.
I agree...a lot of the guys were letting their insecurities affect their attitudes.
Naw Spencer targeted Clare's men from the moment he walked into the mansion. He started making really passive aggressive remarks. I think the guys are justified in what they feel about him. The other new guys didn't do that shit.

@@ShMack84 Yeah i agree. He immediately walked in cocky and aggressive. And this group of guys is really nice so if theyre taking issue with him its because hes giving them a reason too. Also he was the one that started the aggressive tactics in the pool game. Yes im sure some of the guys were threatened by his looks, but I dont believe that's the reason they dont like him. Furthermore, i get the feeling Spencer really wanted to meet Clare instead. Like she was more his type, and thats why he immediately brought her up as soon as he walked in. I think hes annoyed shes gone. And what gets me is that he had JUST met Tayshia, so i would have preferred him make a positive comment about her. Idk. I guess well see how it goes, but i didn't see him once gush about Tayshia and how excited he was about her being there to the camera like a lot of the other guys did. But who knows maybe in upcoming episodes we'll see him actually lean into kiss her (on the lips) or actually act more into her. (For the record- She leaned in for the first kiss and he pulled away first, and then on the group date he kissed her cheek only. Because having a sore lip apparently it hurts less to kiss a cheek than lips. ??? 🤷🏼♀️
Spencer gives me the same vibes as Luke P ngl... Tayshia deserves better. My picks are Brendan and Zac! Also, Eazy and Bennett for Paradise! 🌹

Spencer was literally coming at him trying to hold him back when he was trying to get out of the pool and go get the ball. Anybody would have fought off someone doing that.
I just loved Tayshia and Jason's conversation. It was so mature and it was clear they both just wanted the best for each other. I was telling my cousin that I love how, as a society, we have progressed enough that one of our favorite things to see on TV is good communication.

Idk I really still think Ben could be in the top two. I don’t think we’ve seen enough of Brendan. I think he might end up getting the Connor edit from Hannah’s season and accidentally get sidelined. Not to mention, Jimmy Kimmel picked Ben as her pick and it’s very rare that he’s wrong.
yeah it was weird for me that in the first episode zac and brandan received so much screen time when usually f1 is quite hidden, but we will see
It’s not rare that Jimmy is wrong, and plus a Jimmy didn’t take account that there would be new arrivals so who knows how accurate it may be. Jimmys been wrong a handful of times but I think there’s some truth to his prediction this season.
Yes, and I always think about how they didn't show Ben's kiss with Claire. Why would they cut that out? I don't think they would have cut that unless Ben was Tayshia's final pick
Totally agree, especially with the Connor edit. I think Brendan and Tayshia clicked because she was feeling nervous about the guys and that date really put her at ease, but I think as she makes stronger connections with other guys it may not progress. Plus, we saw Ben in a preview saying he loved her!
I thought about the Connor edit while watching the episode!
I agree with you that Brendan and Zac are the front runners.
The only thing that throws me off from Zac being the final pick is that he's one of if not the only one in the preview that says "I'm falling in love with you." Seems a bit of a red herring move to me.

@@ChelseaNicoleH she did pushed him to share, but he made a choice to do so, and Clare never said I like you, I love you, or I have feelings for you, so him falling for her is on him, for that matter all the leads in this show always push for people to open up, be cause that’s how they can get a sense of who might be into them, so that guy just falling in love with Clare after one date and him sharing that he has a dark past is just like Clare falling for a guy very quickly and based on very little. We can’t hate on one and not the other.
My god, a grown man goes on reality tv, literally says he has demons and women have called him mean in the past, and the general response from lots of women is poor guy and how mean Clare is 😢. At least the next woman has been warned whether she takes it on board or not is another question... when someone tells you who they are believe them.
I think Ivan might be top 2 based on how favorably Tayshia has talked about him in interviews

I’m new to this Bachelorette thing. I think Tayshia is incredibly beautiful (and as a Black woman it’s so nice to see a biracial woman getting a chance at reality tv love).
I’d really like to see more diversity amongst the men presented. A variety of body types (I like all types - especially larger men), ethnicities and races (let’s see more Black men, Asian, South Asian, Indigenous, Pacific Islander).
