The genius of this is asking the exact right question so that it can be applied to the plight or situation of an animal. The fact that it's not scripted is what gives it its appeal.
Absolutely one of my top favorite movies/animations/comedy sketches ever. It is almost inconceivable that such perfection of content and execution can exist. Many thanks to the original creator[s] for their brilliant and diligent efforts

i think they invite a brazilian to make the tiger voice, becouse i think no one can imitate a brazilian accent speech english. if they do that was a really good job.
The voices come from interviews from the general public. So they interviewed a Brazilian who moved to England that's how how the accent was so good because it was real.
Still my favourite of all their works. The poo 💩 animation is quite spectacular 1:00 and all the voice choices are utterly perfect. 1:16 the swallow is extraordinary detail
When i was REALLY young and watched this short at 0:58 i saw it differently because i remembered at that part i thought they were donkey's and i thought they were being interviewed at night but now that i came back i now realized they were actually hippos
Aardman can you please please please please make a Creature Comforts Movie because it’s sound perfect and if you do make it i’ll be very very very happy
If these were non-actors, and it was unscripted, how come the man doing the voice of the Brazilian jaguar is saying he wants ‘food for wild animals’ at 0:56?
Don't forget that this goes across the world, not all of us speak English with the same accent and sometimes it is hard to hear. CC would be much appreciated.
Revisited this because of the recent news of the new Chicken Run (which is animation now, from what I hear...?) Anyway - this short remains BRILLIANT, ORIGINAL and with great execution, so many details to enjoy in both the visuals and the voice acting. the humor is still fresh and none of it seems dated. It is also so truly British - it could never have been made in the US. But there are also great alternative animations coming from France and Eastern Europe, they don't get the deserved attention unfortunately. If you are here, likely you will already know such animations as The Triplets of Belleville (also, for contemporary works, go check out European animation homepages and festivals). So hooray for the people still willing and able to take chances in this domain, the domination of disneyfied and big budget productions need to be challenged. The Iron Giant is proof US can also make alternative movies in this genre, but they are few and far between.
The Brazilian Jaguar really stole the show.
his hand gestures are what sealed it. I bet the original interviewee also did all those gestures and they just used the video as a template
He later appeared as a taxidermy museum display when the penguin controlled Wallace to steal the diamond
I thought it was a puma
@@III-b6v same difference
he was in The Wrong Trousers in the museum too
I hope the voice actor of that Jaguar is still around. He was a great bloke.

It sounds like Aryton Senna
