This is my come to Jesus moment regarding ratchet straps videos. After all I've seen on the internet, this is still the way I like to store ratchet straps. We all have our own way of doing things. This is mine. Stay kind friends!
@tamiduda4660 Organized? Don’t be fooled by what you saw in the video. My desk is a mess. My basement is in disarray and my head is a natural disaster. 😜
Good evening Wayne, good information. That's how I do my longer extension cords. Had lots of straps and never thought about storing them like that. 👍 ❤ 👍
I’ve been doing this for many years. I didn’t think it was good enough to share in a video, but maybe I was wrong about that. Thanks Terry. Much love and kindness to you!
I’ve been doing it for years and I never thought it was the best way to store them, until I tried all the other methods I saw on the internet. I kept coming back to this way. The more you do it, the better and faster you get. It works for me.
I'll have to give that a try... I just wrap the end arond the buckle and toss it into my tote... pretty simple way of keeping the straps from unwinding ... another great idea WP! have a good one!
I don’t know why I didn’t mention this in my other ratchet strap video. I’m always looking for a better way to do things, but in this case, I like my way best. It’s pretty universal and doesn’t depend on the hook type, etc. Great to hear from you, moofdogg! Take care!
Hi Wayne, Until I saw this video, I was always wrapping the straps around the buckle. I'm going to try your way and see how it goes. Storage space is always an issue so daisy chains make them more compact. I'll give it a go. Peace
The first time I tried it, I wasn’t sure I would keep doing it, but after several years, it’s still my preferred way of doing it. You get faster at it the more you do it. Peace and love to you!
That’s good to know. I haven’t noticed a problem without the twist, but I never really paid close attention. I’ve been watching semi trucks lately and I have not seen any using the half twist and their straps aren’t flapping. Maybe it something to do with the size of strap. I’ve heard both sides of the debate so I think a test is in order.
Oh, great! Now I have to go get all my straps (nicely wound, btw) out of the canvas tool bag (thx aircraft bench stock purge) from behind my truck seat, daisy chain them, see if they all will fit back in the tool bag that contains them so snugly. Leave it to Wayne to encourage an old guy to try another way. Gee, thanks Wayne. I'll send pictures...
I know it’s hard, Mike. But you know the old saying, variety is the spice of life! You should never run low on options so stop complaining and start daisy chaining! See what I did there?

Good way to keep them from tangling up 😊 You are so organized 😎

@@WaynePolcin Love back, to you and Suzie, and the critters
One twist in a strap prevents flapping. I use them all the time and learned that to be absolutely true.
