    I'm doing same lift height same company BDS this week. My first ever lift I was going to do 6in but realized I'm not doing anything crazy anyways no need for it. Either way I'm excited. I'm excited for my 2011 2500HD Silverado itll look clean. Now wheels and tires is the next task and I have no clue what any of these numbers mean lol.

      +Tom Makarow if you just do uca and crank the keys your ride is gonna be gone. Only reason I didnt do a leveling kit to keep the good ride. And opted for the bds kit over zone because it was a non torsion bar drop kit vs the zone kit that drops the bars. Pure looks

    Dude sweet truck! I have a 05 LLY that I bought lifted I believe it has a 6.5 in lift but there’s no marking to what brand or nothing. Wanting to go down to a 4.5” lift. Just wondering if maybe you could give me a measurement on your spindle ? From the bottom ball joint hole to the top ball joint hole on the knuckle/spindle. Bc mine has lifted knuckles but I don’t know how lifted they are so I’m not 100% sure on what lift is on my truck right now.

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. Are there any markings on the skid plates with a brand for the lift? Might help narrow down the size aswell. My knuckles is is 21 3/4" from the top of it down to the bottom joint. Let me know if I can get any other measurements to help I'll do what I can.

    • @grantsisco8860
      @grantsisco8860 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found a small sticker on my front shock that looks like it says “zone” so maybe a zone off road lift kit. I measured my knuckle from the top to the bottom where the stud on the ball joint goes through and my knuckles are only measuring 19” top to bottom. The front diff seems to be dropped down around 5”. And I have 5” blocks under the leaf springs in the back. I’ve got the torsion bars down cranked down just nearly as far as I can go with them and the front still sits about 2” higher than the back. My cv axles are nearly perfectly straight. So I’m not really sure what’s going on

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grantsisco8860 if you look at your truck from the side do your torsion bars hang down below the frame? If they do I would think it could be a zone kit if there tucked up under the frame cant see them from the side angle I'd think it was another brand of kit. My truck only has 3" blocks in the front. What is your measurement from the ground to the fender on the front ?

    Seth, really enjoy your videos. Got a '19 3500 and scheduled for pretty much the exact same setup. Do you really feel the need and see a difference in the steering stabilizer, and Pittman braces that you put on? My shop says those add on items only mask other problems.
    Also, 2+ years into it, what are your thoughts on the whole lift? Did you get a tune in stepping up the tire and wheel size?
    Also, I'm putting on the 2" Bushwhacker fender flares so my tires are flush with the flares.

    Seth, what is turning radius like before and after? I’m looking at either the BDS 4.5” or the Fabtech 4”. Ive heard that a ton of turning radius is lost when you go to a new spindle/full suspension lift. I’ve got a level kit on my duramax currently and it rides like shit, so wanted to get a similar height (I’m currently at about 45” on front fender) but also get my ride quality back...but then hesitate if turning radius gets considerably worse. Thanks for any info brother.

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't notice much difference in turning radius after the lift. It still a bitch to park either way with the size of the truck. I just park in the back of parking lots lol. You'll enjoy the ride improvement going to the lift over the leveling kit.

      @@sethtyndall4447 Im about to pull the trigger on this kit and wanted to see if you had any thoughts on a couple things. How much lift does this kit get from tightening the torsion keys? Im thinking of installing the 4.5" but turning the front end down a little. My goal with the kit is more to get a good height with the kit, get flat CV angles, but not necessarily run huge tires. I have a level kit on my 2016 LML but it rides terrible and the angles are awful. Also did you do any research on getting beefier tie rods. Thanks for the knowledge!!!

    Awesome truck, love the videos, just subbed. I am putting a 4.5 BDS on my 17 GMC Duramax next week. Still undecided on tire and size. What are you running, 295/65R20 or 35x11.50R20LT? Did you have to do any trimmin for those tires? I am looking for a little less offset and my rims are +20. Is your lift cranked up or down at all? Would you be able to lower the front a little if you wanted to or decided to go with a smaller tire? Looking forward to hearing what you think about those tires for noise and gas mileage.

    • @sethtyndall4447

      Big Jerm I'm running the 35x11.50x20 which according to nittos website are really a 34.76 tall and no trimming in the back,of the wheel well I did trim the valance just in case and cause it looks better. With the 0 offset there is one spot on the front bumper when turned just right highing a bump it'll rub but not enough for me to trim it, I also zip tied back the fender wheels in the front just in case The lift is set right at 4.5 I'm sure it could go down slightly but not enough to make it worth while imo, I think you could run a wide 33 and it still look good if you didnt want as big of a tire. And so far I would recommend these tires for sure great look and low noise. Thanks for subbing!

    Will this fit in a 7'0 garage? What is the height to the top of the truck?

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Taylor Bergeron it would be close best I can tell measuring to the sharkfin antenna is 7' or a little over

      Thank you! I'm putting this lift with the 2" block and trying to get an estimate for parking garages.

      Taylor Bergeron just have the shop set the keys as low as possible when they install it that should help a little on the hieght aswell

    Can you verify that your garage is 8ft door and not standard 7ft. I am praying 7ft lol

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its 8' I built that house and made sure it had 8 ft doors so I could fit the truck lol. Each truck is different though have the lift set as low as you can get it an maybe run 34s instead of 35s

    What deletes were
    Done?

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dpf and def were deleted the egr is still on the truck but its blocked. The tuning shuts down the egr just a ton of work to remove it vs blocker plates

  • @verticalbitewing

    So did you go with a zero offset or a plus one offset? You said both here

    • @sethtyndall4447

      20x9 0 offset

      I ordered a set this morning! Gonna make my truck look similar to yours. I have a 2018 gmc Denali. I would really like to do the deletes my only concern is North Carolina does emissions testing so I’m not sure it would pass inspection

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      verticalbitewing st130x@gmail.com I'd love to see it all done. Im not far from NC don't only certain counties do the emissions test?

      If you have facebook check out southern diesel mafia there is lots of guys in NC could recommend a shop that might have more info on deletes around you

    any rubbing up front?

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sean Faulk only on the very corner of the bumper where the metal tab connects to the valance and have to be turned just right and hit a bump to get it to do it

      Could 37's have made it on your truck or would it have been too much trimming?

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sean Faulk I'm sure you could run 37s but your going to be cutting the bumper and possible the back side of the wheel well to. I didnt go 37s because I don't want to regear. Most guys seem to run the 6.5" kit on 37s and the 4.5" on 35s

      I think I have the same exact glasses. Hows the BDS lift? I want a 4 inch BDS on my Chevy 1500. But three of the shops I've been to told me not to buy a BDS.

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like they may not make as much money on the bds kit as they do on another kit. They have a lift time warranty on there kits you break it they replace it I highly recommend bds

    • @Dcaulder
      @Dcaulder 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shops seem to be RC dealers so I assume thats why they dont want to promote other kits. Thanks for talking to me man. Sweet truck.

      Seth Tyndall yes I’ve seen that’s there both available 2in /3in blocks or rear leafs

    • @sethtyndall4447
      @sethtyndall4447  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive got the 3" blocks in mine. When I have some free cash I'm going to go back to the stock block and do airbags so I can adjust the hieght when i want. So it'll be level when I'm not towing and have the rake when I am
