Babycenter has been my favorite pregnancy app. I've been using it since I was pregnant with my daughter and she's 3 and a half now. I love your videos so so much, I'm so glad I found your channel, I've been watching all your videos for weeks now, I've even rewatched a few of them and I've made my husband watch a few too. This is my 3rd baby and I'm due on February 5th and I'm terrified of labor and giving birth again.
Fertility Friend was a great tool for TTC! I love the What to Expect app for the common symptoms, but I also really like The Bump app because it gives a visual of the baby and the mama each week, with snippets of updates with the visuals. Both apps say generally the same thing as far as information goes.
I was induced and managed to deliver using only hypnobirthing as pain relief. The main thing to remember is that contractions are not stronger than you because they are you. Visualisation really helped me. Breath in for 20 counts right down into your abdomen so that it rises up (this helps separate the uterus from abdominal muscles and reduces the pain) and imagine something that goes up. I visualised red balloons floating up into the sky because me and my sister would dance to the song 99 Red Balloons as kids and that memory made me happy. Then breathing out for 20, keep your throat open and loose (a relaxed throat helps to relax the cervix) and visualise your baby moving down. I won’t lie and say that the transition contractions weren’t hard, they were really tough. But that just means you are really close to delivering. Giving birth is the most empowering thing I have ever done. I felt so charged up I could’ve taken on the world and won. I am woman, hear me roar!
I desperately want to have a drug free birth, I did with my daughter 6 years ago and it was an amazing experience. I think I will be induced and was worried I would cope. Thanks for sharing !!!
When I was in transition I found myself repeating "my surges are not stronger than me because they are me" and "every surge is one closer to my baby." Those were so helpful! Natural Childbirth is such a totally primal experience, there is really nothing like it! I can stub my toe and cry but I've delivered two babies with no drugs lol
This is so true I am a mother of 5. I have to say that when you have no fear the labor is soooooooooo much more easy. My first experience was a fearful one because I wasn’t prepared. As I continue to educate myself I feel even more empowered and in control as much as I can be. I’m not pregnant but I watch these things throughout the years to prepare myself just Incase. I love natural birth. I know The Creator made us more than capable to take on this blessed task of birthing our little ones naturally. No pain No gain💪🏽💋👶🏽
The creator, if there is one, really hates women, as do men in general. When you have a tooth pulled do you enjoy it without? If you have a tooth pulled do you have it without medication? I had no pain and 6 hours from start to finish, because I am for technology and against pain.
This is all so true. Thanks to your videos and all the other research I've done to prepare myself, I had such an amazing birth. It came by surprise, but I remembered to remain calm and welcomed the pains. I gave birth to my son unmedicated on Nov 17th, 2019 with no complications because I believed in my body, I had confidence, and because it went so fast, I had no time to be afraid.
Thank you Bridget. My name is Rabia from Pakistan and got married almost 11 months ago. My delivery is due by the end of November or mid of December. The truth is this that i have also been hearing lots of stories about pregnancy and delivery from inlaws, relatives and friends. I was quite horrified. Then my elder sisters asked me to watch videos on TH-cam. I found your channel and yes....my fears have subsided alot ☺️☺️☺️☺️. Right now i am learning about labor and how to manage through your videos. Thank you so much once again. Your videos have been really helpful.
You talk about birth in such a beautiful way, it really is amazing to witness😍 I haven't actually felt any fear about labor but I've felt a little crazy for not being afraid of the pain because literally everyone everywhere tells you that its horrible and that pain medication is necessary to not suffer. So I'm grateful to have found people who validate my point of view. I've had horrific period cramps my whole life that even medications wouldn't ease so I had to manage pain in different ways than the norm. I learned how to face the pain and not to run away from it and I think it will serve me well in labor.
I’m due in 7 weeks and this whole time I’ve thought exactly this way. I’m already a super anxious person and I know that if I go into labor being scared or anxious it will only make things harder for me so I’m telling myself that I can do it and to not be afraid because I know that it will be painful and uncomfortable but it’s for a reason and I won’t be in pain for nothing. Thank you for giving me more encouragement!
Yesterday was my due date and I honestly feel so excited for the birth experience (and to meet my baby girl!). I have no fear, only confidence in myself. I know this is what my body was made for. Thank you so much for the videos you make, I have really enjoyed them through my pregnancy 💕
Just had my baby 6 days ago had an amazing birth experience ......your videos helped a lot throughout labor and delivery .Thank you so much so such amazing information.💕💕
I gave birth last January 07. I must say, hypnobirthing and proper breathing helped me get through all that seemingly unbearable pain. I labored for 12 hours and pushed for less than 5 minutes. NSD. ♥️
I love what you say toward the end about how mamas shouldn't be suffering. I had a natural unmedicated birth for my first baby but it was traumatic because- #1 I was so fearful and fighting everything the whole time, and #2 I had back labor and the sac of amniotic fluid was bulging through my cervix so for 12 hours the pain never stopped but was constant and not intermittent. But I thought this suffering was normal and I wouldn't let anyone talk to me about any kind of pain relief. When I finally allowed them to break my water, the relief was immense (because I started having normal contractions and her head moved off my spine). Since then I have had 3 more unmedicated and natural labors (and I'm about to have baby #5) but those labors were exactly as you described- so empowering. The pain was intermittent and purposeful and because I had overcome my fear, I trusted my body and didn't fight it. After baby #1, I thought she would be an only child. After baby #2 was born, I immediately thought "I can't wait to do this again!" If you practice relaxing and let go of fear, an unmedicated birth is not torture but very like the strain and discomfort of an intense physical workout. And when baby is born, it feels amazing!
Just had my little girl four days ago. Early labor lasted over 26 hours and it was honestly so painful. I am so happy I had an unmedicated and natural birth but I had a really long and hard labor. I would rather push baby out again then have to deal with the contractions just because mine were so close together and so long for 6 hours. I would say I was suffering but I am so glad I got to experience it.
The absolute best channel a pregnant woman can find 🙏 I'm disappointed women in the comments are being rude. I wish I have found you with my first pregnancy I'd avoid unnecessary interventions.
Thank you so much for your videos. I watched the breathing video before my 2nd labor and it helped a lot. I focused only on breathing and visualisation. The result: we met our 2nd daughter after only 10min of pushing. Now she is 2 months old :) I only wish I saw your video two years ago, before my 1st birth (which was full of fear). My 2nd labor was like a dream. Thank you so much 💕
This is so amazing- just 10 minutes of pushing!! Thank you so much for sharing... I'd love to use your comment in a future video! Enjoy those baby snuggles, Mama 💕
@@BridgetTeyler of course you can use it. 🙂 it really was amazing and your video helped a lot. Keep up the good work helping (future) Mamas and thank you for nice wishes 💕
I’m 6 days past my due date with my first baby. Of course I’m nervous but your videos really help to alleviate some of those nerves and I’m excited to see how resilient my body can be! My mom will be with me in the delivery room, and she had 4 unmedicated births- so I think that will give me a lot of strength! Thank you so much for making these videos Bridget!
I love this video!!! Yes! Pain with a purpose!!! I always tell my Mama Bears to expect the kind of discomfort you’d expect from training for a Marathon, not the kind of pain you expect from fear and torture!
Not afraid of pain. I went through weeks of pancreatitis with only applied heat for relief, miscarriages with only meditation and breathing, migraines with only a nap etc. Thankfully now I can easily avoid damaging interventions :))) Your mind is stronger than you realise!
Baby didn't rotate for me in labour and after a long marathon effort I had to receive assistance. However, when I was threatened with an episiotomy, I pushed the baby out in 30 seconds. Believe me, if you are committed, you will find a way to do it- even if the result is not perfect. Most importantly is to walk away with a clear conscience knowing you truly pushed yourself to your limit.
I'm a 40week 3days first time momma, during a pandemic lol. I haven't been able to take any classes at all. Your videos have helped immensely! Thank you so much for your videos!
Thank you so much for this video. My husband and I have been married for 4 year now and I’ve been sooooo scared to get pregnant because of the birth part. Because you shared Mya’s story I feel much more at ease. Thank you!!!!!💗💗💗
Awesome breakdown and explanation of labor. Totally agree. I had 1 home birth already and preparing for my 2nd now. I also had an internal journey with my 1st going from fear to excitement about it. I only had typical fear based concepts of birthing in my head at first so I did my own research and inquiry. I discovered what you talk about her so eloquently- we are built to birth, as you wonderfully say! YES! This is key and so empowering to know in detail. Understanding more of How our body’s change and literally prepare for the labor process was a game changer for me. Thanks for all your great content and encouragement!!! You got this Mamas!!! 💜💜💜💜🎉🎉🎉
In labor at the hospital rn. I was induced and the first 14h were okay. Bearable with some deep breathing, swaying and focusing. As soon as they broke my water I thought I was gonna faint from the pain every time I had a contraction. I didn't want to get an epidural but I absolutely had to. I was shaking so hard from pain. Giving birth is crazy.
my due date is in a couple days on the 28th AND I’m so excited to get the show on the road. hopefully everything goes smoothly. thanks for your videos 💗 I’ve been binging your content for the past month!
Good luck mama! Wishing you a safe and speedy delivery with a happy, healthy mom and baby. I'm still 10 weeks and 2 days away from my due date (Feb 5th) I'm so SO nervous for labor and delivery. This is my 3rd baby and I feel like a first time mom all over again 😬😬😬
U are not a human, U are an Angel 👼. U urself don’t know what precious service u r doing of the women and the society as a whole. May God bless u with open heart ❤❤ 🙌🏻.
First pregnancy, love your videos. I love the education and how realistic they are. I am excited to feel labor and whatever it intales. I am not ignorant on the difficulties thanks to you. You are really helping alot of us out here! Thank you! Doing a homebirth 🙏
I’m really glad to be watching this. I was super confident up until my third birth… it was insanely painful and 15 hrs of non stop pain. I’ll be birthing in December and I’m much more anxious than I’ve ever been.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I'm 31 weeks today with my first baby(I'm 33 yo)and I'm planning to do a natural(possibly water) birth at our local FSBC. I've been watching videos and reading up on as much good information as I can find. I really want to be educated, prepared, and empowered going into this, and I'm feeling more confident every day. So again, thank you! 💗
Thank you so much for this video, I'm expecting my first baby in January 2020 and have no idea what to expect during labor but your video has given me some confidence in myself...🤗🤗🤗🤗😎😎
I'm blessed to come from a long line of healthy, unmedicated birthing women so I always go into knowing that a) it's got to come o it and b) I can definitely do it. I experience birth as intense but I can't describe the sensation as pain really.
I’m 3 months postpartum and this is making me kind of miss the feelings of labor lol. I knew the purpose and was so excited! And tired and in pain lol but very happy about it
I had a precipitous labor:/ I was so confused why my contractions were back to back because I went in thinking I will have breaks in between and have hours to go and it ended up being under 3hours and contractions were on top of each other beginning to end. Only 3% of women experience this kind of labor but it’s good to let women know that it is a possibility that they will not have breaks in between contractions. It would have saved me a lot of shock and confusion during labor
I experienced the exact same labor. The last 10 minutes before my daughter was born were just a total mess. Because of the pain never stopping, I didn't feel baby coming down. I thought I was maybe 5cm dilated then, and that labor would still go on for hours and hours, especially because it was my first baby. But the head was crowning and I was told to push on the spot. I wasn't ready for that at all. I wasn't in control and I was in shock. My second is due in 2 weeks, and I am ready for that kind of labor again. I am not afraid, I am prepared. I totally agree that women should hear about the eventuality of precipitous labor.
The same thing happened to me also. I was induced and I went from 5cm to 10cm in an insanely short time with contractions one on top of another, no break at all! I pushed for only 11 minutes and I was in extreme shock when my daughter was born. I felt completely out of control and shocked. I'm expecting another baby in 2 weeks and I'm opting for a home birth which will hopefully be more relaxed 🤞
@@ksam94x I just had my second baby! I did a home birth and it was absolutely amazing this time around I was prepared and he was born in 2.5hrs. Good luck mama!!
This video definitely put me more at ease as I’m about to go on maternity leave in a few days. I’m expecting my first bundle of joy December 26th and the closer I get to my due date the more nervous I was becoming about labor pains. So glad I watched this video and I may need to watch it a few more times as a nice reminder 🤗
Update: I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy 23 days early on December 3rd and this video definitely helped me to not freak out when I went into labor. The other video you made about the pros and cons of both Natural and Medicated births helped too. My water broke at 5:18am I had contractions 30-45 minutes later by 9am I was in labor and delivery and by 9:45am my baby boy greeted us. I couldn’t believe that I was able to do all of this naturally when I was planning for an epidural my entire pregnancy (but he came so fast that I didn’t even get that option). Your videos definitely helped me to know what my body was doing and that it was made to do this. Since I had to give birth naturally I was able to feel my body naturally pushing just like you mentioned. Thank you so much for making these videos 🤗🙌🏾
A great and empowering video, thank you very much! Although I still got moments of thinking if I can manage the pain, I’m also really looking forward to this life-changing experience. All through my pregnancy I was amazed what my body is capable of, so I should trust it for the birth as well.
@@lauraa.3610 I went one week over my due date so I ended up being induced. Once they broke my water and started pitocin my contractions came on quickly and very intense, it was by far the worst pain of my life but I managed for a little while. I ended up getting an epidural and have zero regrets about it, mine didn't completely numb me so I still felt the pressure to push when it was time. It was a great labor experience overall.
Me when someone asks about giving birth in the future:I lived the experience, but it was painful during the time. But that pain was necessary and pain is natural. After all, it would be bad if we didn’t feel pain. We need pain to know what can kill us and what can’t.
this video is the first thing that got me to think more positively about the pain, meaning, I think I might be able to cope.. still need to learn more though. Still terrified they will force me to induce.
Going into my first labor I wanted to stay as natural as possible, unfortunately my water broke early on and my contractions were not progressing, I was barely uncomfortable actually. I dont remember what it was called, but they gave me a pill to increase contractions and it must have been too much because my contractions never went back down to zero, I had no time to recover from my big peaks. I really hope the second time around this doesnt happen and I can experience my natural contractions instead
OH dear..must have been tough! I think it's pitocin that you were given. Just a note for the future, in case you didn't know, you can choose to wait up to 72 hours after water broke if there are no signs of infection. :)
I love all your videos! You have helped me so much and have taken the fear of giving birth by each video I watch, I am physically and mentally preparing for my babys birth. 7 more weeks to go! I feel great and excited!!😁
Hey Bridget, something I've been thinking about a lot is how handle if something goes wrong? Like what if my BP goes sky high? What if baby is breech? What if I suddenly need a C section? How can I mentally prepare for an emergency?
I have a question. I got stuck at 3 cm, but my contractions were 30 seconds apart for at least 30 seconds. I never got a break in between because they never fully dissipated. I'm at the beginning of my 3rd trimester with baby #2. How do I keep from becoming exhausted after a few hours? How do I deal with that intensity for so long? I tried using breathing and labored at home until contractions were 1:30 apart too.
My baby is due in march 17 after 12 years and after 4 kids god is planning was set and I was definitely not expecting it although I know I'm new at all of this I'm glad I found your channel cuz ima need your wisdom to re do this 😂 but honestly I'm ready🏋🏼♀💯
This shouldn't influence your medical decisions but it does for me. That is the price of C-sections, induced labor and epidurals in hospitals (here in the US). The more interventions you have, your bill goes up by thousands. Not hundreds but thousands of dollars. Even with insurance and plans of going natural, I anticipate that my bill will be a significant financial burden. Now if it comes to to your life or the life of your baby than certainly, no money can replace that. But I take the view that pain for a day, managed and understood, natural even, is worth it compared to years of paying for unnecessary or elective medical procedures that don't always make your birth experience better. Not to mention the benefits of a natural birth. Now I know that this doesn't work for everyone. Sometimes you have that plan and it doesn't happen, I'm not shaming. Yet, if I can have a healthy unmedicated birth, despite the discomfort, I think it is the only logical and sound thing to do.
Rana Nuito i agree that Contractions are the worst part. If you can get through the contractions (which you can 😊) , pushing the baby out is not as bad as you’d imagine.
Im in a country that i dont speak the language and my dr only talks to my husband i feel very afread of hospital since i spent 4 yrs in and out im almost at the end of my pregnancy and im terrified about the hospital do you have any advice ?? Your videos are amazing and really helpful thank you
nechama neshama I would say to memorize the breathing exercises, and if you and your husband speak the same language to make sure your birthing plan is well understood. Good luck, you got this!
I had 1 delivery without any meds and 1 with epideral. I recommend the epideral. You still experience the birthing process without the trauma. I find it allows your body to do what it needs to do without you fighting it. She talks about the pain only being for short periods of time then u can rest. Well this is some of the worst pain anyone could endure and when it hits you every couple of minutes for hrs, positive thinking and breathing does not cut it. I am sorry, but telling first time moms that there is nothing to fear and you just need to think positive is wrong. They will get into labor and realize how bad it is then feel guilty because they couldn't tough it out or feel anger that nobody told them the truth.
Great comment - there are huge pressures on women to have a 'natural' childbirth and to breastfeed also and therefore if either of these don't work out women are at huge risk of post natal depression.
Even tho i have not watched this before and im a pregnant FTM. I know tge pain is part of the process. That pain informs important signals to the body about the delivery and other things like breastmilk etc. I will do my best and try not to get epidural. My mum gave birth to 5 of us unmedicated home birth so i dont see why can’t I unless for emergency reason.
Been in pain all my pregnancy and can barely walk with pelvic pain, I think I’ll go with the smoother route so I can relax. I couldn’t take the pain at 4cm last pregnancy.
I did that with my second. Unmedicated for my first, but the back pain was HORRIBLE my entire second pregnancy. Went with an epidural and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Now Im pregnant with my 4th and hope to do unmedicated again.
Can you make a video about tips for vbac attempting momas? I want to attempt a VBA2C in my next pregnancy because I know my body is made to do this! I hope you see this comment!!!
Hi Bridget! Thank you very much for all the videos you provide. I expect twins in Norway. My due date is 25th of August. As I were very scared of pain with my first birth, my main concern with this second one was that it will be earlier than I get things ready. Now it changed in to this that there be so many experts around me with good reasons to give me epidural that I will not have much control over my experience. I would like to check if I can do it without epidural, does it feels different because I have different kind set and if I will feel different afterwards because I felt more plus save myself from tearing. It's getting heavy to be pregnant and maybe I be induced in week 38 of pregnancy on 10th of August. Yesterday I heard another good reason for epidural then possible emergency C-section. One of the twins is 8% smaller (boy) than average now while other is 12% bigger (girl). If he comes first then it will harder to get her out and maybe hospital staff will need to adjust the position of second twin. Both are with their heads down. Could you make a video about twin birth and concerns that I have, please? Best regards, Anna 🙂
I don't think this information is close to reality. I had a labour 4 years ago, and all my friends recently had babies, it is way too painful. Nothing helps except epidural, and it doesn't interffer with hormones, so pain is not essential part of labour. It is like going to dentist or having surgery, if you had your painful teeth removal for 24 hours whould you just breath and say it is normal or had pain relief?
K I was listening and I can say both my birth ever had breaks my contacts once I hit 3 cm came every 14 to 17 seconds. My first birth was 24 hours and ended in c section I was so tired and pushed for 1 hour. And my second birth was 4 hour and once I got an epidural at 8cm I could have a break. Why did I have such intense contractions so close together?? I'm pregnant now and feel we won't have pain relief because there is a supply chain problem here in saskatchewan Canada. I'm watching your videos but I'm super confused as why I never had breaks
What would you recommend eating/snacking on during early labor at home? I still have 9 weeks left but I know you aren’t allowed to eat when you’re admitted.
mikkiexl I’m assuming you are in the US? I’m in the U.K. and we are encouraged to eat ad drink whatever we can throughout the whole labour. Giving birth requires energy so I never understand why they don’t allow food in the US. Seems counter productive.
Ice chips during labor. I got a demand list of what l want right after lol and hubby has been given that list👍🏿If your into teas have some fresh made ginger tea in early labor with honey.
mikkiexl I'd recommend things that digest easily and nothing overly textured or gritty definitely no popcorn sharp edges can be problematic if you vomit during labor and as each one is different bananas work well if you can earn them a thin ish smoothie or shake would work just remember easy to digest ingredients no seeds or gritty pieces those really suck when coming up but you want something that will give you energy think of birth as running a marathon wish you the best of luck
I'm a mum of 2 children, my second is 2 weeks old. Personally I'd recommend to eat a good decent meal, that will give you the energy you will need, during labour. Just imagine you are preparing for a marathon run. What do those people do to prepare? They eat a slow releasing energy meal before the long run of course.
@@sgrundyuk the reason is because the US has such a higher rate of csection than any other country, and they don't want anything in your stomach if you elect or end up needing one after labor starts. You can throw up while intubated and suffocate so they want an empty stomach.
I’m a first time mama and got my cervix checked for the very first time last week and it was SO painful and uncomfortable I was almost in tears... Is that normal? Could it be because I have had intercourse since I got pregnant?
Marina Weatherford just in general I have found that anything touching my cervix is painful outside of sex I really don't want anything in my vagina. sex is not your problem, sex is natural and you can have sex all the way up until your water breaks
Sex during pregnancy can be extremely beneficial, especially towards the end, as semen has a hormone that helps ripen the cervix. Many women find vaginal exams extremely uncomfortable, so this is quite normal. If you really don’t want them, you CAN say no to them, there are other ways to get an idea of where you are in labour. Anyway, dilation can be really unhelpful in knowing when you will give birth - there are women who can spend 2 or 3 days at 3cm, there are also women who get to the hospital at 1cm and then give birth within a couple of hours. I’m a doula, not a medical expert, so you should talk to your health care provider, but don’t worry.
Why have pain when Jesus Christ died and destroyed the sin of Eve cursing out the pain of child birth? I pray all women have wonderful pregnancies without complications and a fast painless, no ring of fire, no hemorrhaging, bleeding, or postpartum depression. In Jesus's name. AMEN. Watch Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize
I have not had any children but my friend had 2 no drugs and she didn't have any pain. The only issues she had was stretch marks. She is Christian too.
No that is not true at all. A woman who is severely underweight or malnourished may need more medical help to keep her and baby safe during pregnancy and birth - same for an obese woman. The risks are higher in those circumstances. Weight/fat has no bearing on your ability to give birth naturally provided that you are in a healthy weight range.
I had my baby dec 16 and it was 3 hours and 45 min from start to finish... way more painful than 2 previous babies. All your videos I watched about coping methods went out the window 😂😂😂
I’m near my mid thirties. I think one of the reasons why my biological clock is not ticking is because I’m scared to death of giving birth and I’m okay being childless because of that. I’ve never heard or asked anyone the details about giving birth. So, I have a curios question. What is it that is so painful about giving birth? I heard your vagina rips during the process but you say that it’s because your muscle is working hard that’s why it hurts. So, which is it? I’ll be more open to having kids if it’s the latter, but I’ll stay as I am if my flesh is being ripped apart.
Usually, vaginas rip in hospital births.... Epidurals prevent you from feeling anything which causes women to push before the skin has stretched. Water birthers rarely tear, because the water softens the skin for stretching.
See Vang your vagina can rip if labor goes fast or baby is big but as long as you have someone competent do the stitches you can heal right up but having a baby or babies isn't for everyone but there are other ways to raise kids adoption is an option so is group raising where there's a bunch of aunties and uncles that are not necessarily biologically related but are heavily involved in raising of the kids and supporting the parents. not every girl rips but not every girl wants to be a bio mom
I've had 4 babies - 2 in hospital 2 at home. Hospital births do tend to have a higher rate of tearing due to positioning during labor. At home you can move around and birth with gravity. Working with gravity makes it SO MUCH easier. I also recommend using arnica oil on the perineum and vaginal opening during labor and while crowning... in hospital they gave me an episiotomy against my will. At home... Zero tears not even a skid mark. Recovery was way easier as well. If you can stay home! I'm pregnant with #5 and planning another homebirth 💗 I love birthing and I would never do it another way unless there was a true emergency.
@@wombynrising7027 explained it, perfectly. Doctors in the hospital tend to rush labor, so, they can move on to the next and make more money. Also, they tend to limit the mothers movement, forcing her to lay on her back, which is counterproductive to gravity causing more pain, as well.
Thanks for watching this video! What's your favorite pregnancy app that you're using? Comment below!
Bridget Teyler the Bump app! It’s easy to use and understand
Pregnancy + is the one I love using. It’s simple and easy to use and has everything I want. Love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
Fertility Friend was a great tool for TTC! I love the What to Expect app for the common symptoms, but I also really like The Bump app because it gives a visual of the baby and the mama each week, with snippets of updates with the visuals. Both apps say generally the same thing as far as information goes.
Ovia! I love hearing Gina’s experience week to week. Baby Tracker and The Wonder Weeks are the best when baby arrives.
I needed to hear this today! Thank you!!
What sources did you use to learn how to breathe and manage pain without medication?
I needed to hear this thank you!. I get induced tomorrow
I desperately want to have a drug free birth, I did with my daughter 6 years ago and it was an amazing experience.
I think I will be induced and was worried I would cope. Thanks for sharing !!!
hhaha love your passion! Thanks for sharing! 34 weeks and almost roaring! 😄
Yes totally! The purposefulness of it all makes a huge difference. Right there with you!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!
Thank you, 🤩🤩
The creator, if there is one, really hates women, as do men in general. When you have a tooth pulled do you enjoy it without? If you have a tooth pulled do you have it without medication? I had no pain and 6 hours from start to finish, because I am for technology and against pain.
@@claudesantolini6335 The Creator does not hate women but I understand your point. 😉 If a woman wants an epidural or not, that's up to her.
@@claudesantolini6335 The epidural is the only way to go. Of course do not be afraid of birth. However medical science has come a long way.
Yes, yes, and YES!! You're such an amazing, Mama! What an encouragement this is to so many moms out there who are approaching birth!
That’s amazing!!! I’m due in dec 10th
Oh v good!! Can u tell me plz what did u do before yr due day? Like did u eat something spicial or excercises or bath?
Its been a year! Are you and youre baby okay?
You're so right! And you CAN do it. I know you can!
You have a fresh newborn! This is such a special time... enjoy it! It can be hard too, but so so beautiful!
Congratulations samra!!!
Congratulations samra!!!
I should be giving birth any day now. Thank you!!
Hapoom good luck wish you and your little the best
Good how it was?
Just had my little girl four days ago. Early labor lasted over 26 hours and it was honestly so painful. I am so happy I had an unmedicated and natural birth but I had a really long and hard labor. I would rather push baby out again then have to deal with the contractions just because mine were so close together and so long for 6 hours. I would say I was suffering but I am so glad I got to experience it.
The absolute best channel a pregnant woman can find 🙏
I'm disappointed women in the comments are being rude.
Rewatching this as I gear up for my labor. She’s taking her sweet time lol, but I’m ready to meet her!
Not afraid of pain. I went through weeks of pancreatitis with only applied heat for relief, miscarriages with only meditation and breathing, migraines with only a nap etc. Thankfully now I can easily avoid damaging interventions :)))
Your mind is stronger than you realise!
Thank you!!!!!💗💗💗
Due with my first baby in 3 days, binging your channel today !!!
Due in 10 days and so thankful for every video you post! My baby is going to be born knowing your voice - I’m watching so many!
Hey Bridget! Can you do a video on when things turn and the unplanned happen? (C-section, unplanned involuntary induction, etc)

I’m actually excited for my labor this time. I think it will be empowering and wonderful because of your videos.
It will! I'm sure of it and so excited for you to experience it!
Best comment yay how'd it go
Thank you so much for doing this video. 💗

DesiraeElaine congratulations! Best of luck to us both giving birth this month 🤗
Thank you so much for this video! I am due tomorrow and have a low pain tolerance so I am kind of freaking out but this eased my mind a lot.
jos s I had those fears myself with my first I had a very low pain tolerance it was worth it and hurt less than I expected
Jos s How was it? I have a low pain tolerance as well and I m curious how you handled it.
Thank you! This helps me alot. Been fearing to give a birth in February and this is the answer.
First time mama, I’m almost 29 weeks. Just subscribed, I look forward to binging your videos!! 😊
Hey Bridget, something I've been thinking about a lot is how handle if something goes wrong? Like what if my BP goes sky high? What if baby is breech? What if I suddenly need a C section? How can I mentally prepare for an emergency?
I have dealt with chronic anxiety and PTSD for years. I'm 25 weeks pregnant now and also have these questions.
I had 8 hrs pain, and I enjoyed every bit ,but it was little uncomfortable when contraction comes ,i was like “ it’s coming ,winter is here “ lol 😝
I had my 3 babies unmedicated and natural. My contractions were so intense I thought I would pass out lol so worth it though x
Purposeful Anticipated Intermittent Normal -pain
Good points to remember!
You did a great job with this video! 👍
It's true - fear is the biggest problem of all and makes pain only stronger!

You’re really a big help in our journey Bridget!!! You’re a blessing ♥️💙🙏✨ thank you! ♥️♥️♥️
I have learned more from you than all the OBs combined
Just had my 3rd baby! All were natural!! The worst part are the contractions....
What about the birth itself? It’s my first baby I’m terrified of the pain of the passage of the baby
Thanks its nice to see someone cares i will keep that in mind . Still afraid of hospitals but pls Gid it will be ok thanks for your advice and support
Love the way this is explained!!
This.
We need to embrace it, know how to think positive even in pain to lessen the stress and anxiety.
Another great video
Thank you much for your videos. Helped me prepare for delivering our baby! ❤️❤️
When did you give birth? Congratulations, Mama!!
I love to watch your advices from France !!
I think that the part of labor of actually pushing the baby out is the most fearful for me.
So do c section hurt as well?from what i seen they are sleep.
C sections hurt... after ;) It's a serious surgery.
You are such awesome!
Best video ever!!
❤thank you
K I was listening and I can say both my birth ever had breaks my contacts once I hit 3 cm came every 14 to 17 seconds.
Thank you so much am 30 week
I wish I watched this before my first and second birth.
Thank you!! Love your videos...Greetings from Germany :-)
HI 👋 I have family in Germany! Such a beautiful country!
1 week overdue and binge watching your videos to distract me from the discomfort haha
Thank you so much for this video! This just changed the way I see natural birth! Thank youuuuu
due in 3 days. cant wait :D
Lise Martino Thank you!!
random chicks music Thank you!

Bridget, do you think adding keywords to your presentation would be a great idea?
Ive had someone say that thin women cannot bear a child naturally, that a c section would be required. Thats sounds crazy to me but is it true???
No that is not true at all. A woman who is severely underweight or malnourished may need more medical help to keep her and baby safe during pregnancy and birth - same for an obese woman. The risks are higher in those circumstances. Weight/fat has no bearing on your ability to give birth naturally provided that you are in a healthy weight range.
@@hannahmcintosh5343 That's good to know. Thank you 💛

Anyone other ladies here *not* expecting and just 👀
I had my baby dec 16 and it was 3 hours and 45 min from start to finish... way more painful than 2 previous babies.
Water birthers rarely tear, because the water softens the skin for stretching.
colorwayADDict What do you mean by hospital births? Isn’t that where nearly all women have births? That means a good number of mothers’ vagina tore?
I'm not so scared of labour. If it's bad there's always pain relief. My fear is with splitting my vagina open again. 😭
I'm sorry but
"Birth" x 100
"Mamas" x 100
"Surges, sensations, discomfort, and all the other ways of trying not to say pain" x 100
Kill me.
