Could you use dental floss for sinew?
I don’t think it will work the same way unfortunately. Sinew is very waxy and dental floss really isn’t.
Do you have the fabric wet or dry?
I tie up all my fabric damp. I soak in soda ash and water for at least 20 minutes and then spin out in the washer. Hope this helps😊💜
