And definitely say no to Kinzie's stuffy shindig in Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, in which the President is sucked through a hell portal by a possessed ouija board, I don't care what's in the goodie bags.

Yeah, I remember my son Jack's tenth birthday. I had him kill ten people to represent each candle and I made my special gun powder laced casserole. I thought it was a pretty sweet shindig but the boy was really ungrateful about it.

I was thinking about this too. Poor unfortunate super self-conscious girl going to a party for the first time in her life when she's hardly had any interaction with people her own age, giving a gift that was purchased by a man who clearly has no idea what teens are into, mocked, locked in a closet and then (depending on your actions) burning the house down with everyone unconscious inside or being called the devil by birthday girl's mom.

Hah, nice to see Grunt on here. I recently replayed ME3 for the Citadel DLC and I highly, highly recommend it. Grunt's part was only one of the many times I literally burst out laughing, it was such a great way to cap the series off. If you have ME3 hanging around and you beat it ages ago and therefore missed the DLC like I did, you should really go play Citadel.

Why does everyone hate on Aiden Pierce so much? Anyone who played the game knows that Damien was far more to blame for Lena's death than Aiden. It was Damien's fault for getting greedy and trying to dig for more info during the Merlaut job, and that is the reason that a hitman was sent after Aiden. Everyone seems to forget that it was DAMIEN's fault.

You know what's a more horrible birthday party? Way back I had the bright idea of Inviting everybody in my elementary school to a birthday party (at the time I knew I had no friends so i doubted many people would come), then having nobody show up. at all. Then the next day kids left and right are calling you "lonely", "creepy" and "greedy" (I wasn't, I just thought close to nobody would come). Ultimately leading to the total destruction of my self-esteem and my life-long fear of people.

Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. It starts on the day of Link's birthday. It starts out well enough...lots of happy birthday wishes, a few gifts, and the promise of your grandma making her special stew...your favorite...for dinner. But then you have to save a pirate girl from Bokoblins, Moblins, and other monsters...your sister Aryll is kidnapped...and you have to leave on a journey to save your sister, and the world. Not sure if this counts, since a party never actually happens...though that kinda makes this birthday worse.
How about Chells birthday in Portal. First, she's put in a confined chamber and forced to run through several tests for a psychopathic robot that has a thing for data and nero toxin. Then Glados tells her that her parents abandoned her at birth, right before trying to kill her. What's worse than all that, though, is that in the end, Glados is the one who gets the cake, and you have to watch them snuff out the candle

Actually, that's probably the best birthday party Grunt could have gotten under the circumstances. I mean, they're a bunch of krogan commandos on shore leave, anything they come up with is probably going to be raucous and damaging to at least one piece of property per participant. Grunt's story accounts for at least 3 counts of property damage; 1, the hospital window. 2, the place where the C-SEC vehicle crashed. 3, the C-SEC vehicle itself.
I think I'm going to create a top 1 video.

You have to admit though (at least if you've played the other ones) that 13 was something of a disappointment... It's hardly a controversial opinion :/
I'm glad you remembered fallout 3, but what about the man from portal? Or the kid from fnaf 4 who was forced to "kiss" an animatronic which resulted in golden Freddy biting his head and hospitalizing him, not to mention none of his friends showed up, only his brother and three bullies that caused the bite.

My birthday this year was pretty terrible. I had to spend it wandering around a botanical gardens with people I don't like and everything hurt because we were walking for too long. I would have rather gone to school that day instead of skipping it to do that. It just made me feel like absolute shit.

I actually shred a tear at claptrap a party the first time, I felt so sad for him but he just forgets about it and goes super happy at the end so made me feel better.
In portals 2, Glados mentioned that chell's birthday was yesterday. Not only does the birthday girl herself not know about the event, but the closest thing to a present was a hart breaking lie about meeting her birth parents. Not to mention where she spends her birthday, or the events that take place the day after.

Parties that end in the President getting sucked into a Hellportal are the type of thing that ruin your whole week.
I loved the Fallout 3 Birthday. I got a pipboy, a BB gun, a sweet comic book, and murdered a giant bug. Also, I got to call Butch's mom an alcoholic and evaded him without getting hit just long enough to get him in trouble with the cops. Then Butch's story arc ended with me saving his mom and having an illustrious career carrying my shit around and following all my orders (along with all the other followers).
I thought for sure the Birthday party from The Darkness would be on this list. Demon snake arms, misspelled Birthday cake, and just the worst girlfriend who won't let you hold the remote on your Birthday.

Also, while it's not an actual party, Joel's birthday from The Last of Us should have been mentioned. After all, he got a stressful day at work, a new watch... and, oh yeah, a zombie apocolypse. And, as a bonus, he got to watch his daughter (who bought him the watch) die horribly from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Claptrap's party was so lame, I tried to put him outta his misery... Repeatedly. With scattering missle launchers... The highest level I could weild. What the heck are the Claptrap units made of, and what weapons did Handsome Jack use to destroy them?! I need that... For a "mechanical vermin"...
You know what was a horrible party? Chell's party celebrating her completion of the portal trials. She was promised cake, balloons and a bath, and what did she get? A room full of neurotoxin.

Definitely Lady Boyle's party in Dishonored. Sure she's a mischievous traitor who cares more about sleeping with party guests than her cities plague, but that doesn't mean she needs to be springtrapped to death

There's always Sonic Generations, which takes place on Sonic's birthday and ends up with space and time being ripped apart, his friends frozen, and the entire world being sucked into a featureless white void. It... Sorta gets better.
Grunt sound like he had a blast. I said that one was a success. Ah, it remind me of the time I got drunk with a Daedric prince, first thing that pop in my mind after that quest was: We have to do that again.
