If evolution is all about survival & reproduction. It is not obvious from an evolutionary lens why some individuals exhibit homosexual behaviour. What does science say about being gay or lesbian?
It was not very clear whether homosexuality arises from genetics or environment. The studies on twins shed some light on the genetic factors of homosexuality. But these studies have been contested too. There is also some research available on homosexuality in other species like mice. What do scientific studies on homosexuality reveal? While the debate on same-sex marriage continues in Supreme Court, Watch this video to learn about it.

Homosexuality is as natural innate intrinsic as heterosexuality is.... for many Homosexuality is who they are and that is how they are naturally and there is nothing as choice about it, nobody will choose to be a homosexual in a heterosexual world with consequences of isolation, rejection, no support and hard as well a difficult life similarly no heterosexual choses to be heterosexual that is how they are... having said that, what is missed in the video is... also, there is Homosexuality that is environmental or situational, occasional and transitional or a phase, like some can indulge in sexual acts that is homosexual in nature but will not identify as homosexual... plus, there is also bisexuality... for these cases there is an option of choice may be.

Dont be scared... if he feels support from his parents and home he can face any challenge the society can throw at him.
Make sure he feels loved and supported because at the end of the day you want your child to be happy. He will then emerge as a more confident person.

Try to be a support system for your son. He is just 16. He needs to do more in other matters apart from his sexuality, like study, career, jobs etc. Once, he is an adult, he will be more confident in his own skin. But if you do not stay beside him today, everything else can be very difficult for him. The reason behind he is close to women, because girls are more acceptable and less bullying thyen boys of his age. Like we cannot choose the colour of our eyes or hair, the same way being gay or not - does not depend on someone's choice. It's the straight ppl who have to change their mindset and not the otherwise.

Very informative. A lot of hard work has been put on. But I would like to point out that at last when you mentioned the evolution part, I want to just mention that evolution takes thousands of years, not just 2-3 centuries. Or another way to understand evolution is that it is so subtle that you can never know when it happened, like in a decade or which century or even which millennial. So we cannot take an example of homosexuals marrying under societal pressure, because society isn't that old.
