  • 1983 type beat, because this only uses the hardware decay/loop envelope for the pulse channels. The NSF file is just 7992 bytes, of which the sound driver takes up 6853 bytes. Tiny!

    What does "hardware decay" mean here? I've only read it in the context of people saying that Famitracker can't do it.

      Later FamiTracker forks added them (EEx) - it just means the volume envelope is a fixed 15-0 decay where the volume register is used as the decay rate instead. There is a mode which lets you loop said decay envelope. It's only really useful for rapid tremolo at the fastest decay rate, which is what's used in the square part.
