Despite having a meh soundtrack, Acid Man is my favorite theme from 11. So here's a cover because why not.
The video took 3 times as long as it should have to edit and render, and it's still not how I want it. ;-;

A perfect fit for an NES Mega Man game...and interestingly I could see this in other NES games like Castlevania or Double Dragon. Sounds a bit sinister. Well done.

Not gonna lie, the original Acid Man theme didn't leave too much of an impression with me, but here feels like chemistry gone sinister and punctuates that with every note and percussion! Well done, good sir!! :D
lol, I feel kinda the opposite, but thanks. The original is the only song that fits 11's instrumentation, in my opinion.

In all honesty - aside from the inaccurate notes (that didn't really take away much from the cover), you did better in arranging this than mine. That main part is just fantastic to my ears.
I have trouble with deciphering notes by ear. It's more "just figure out the chord and do what works musically"

This track was expertly done, but I highly recommend that you don't stop here. Not just for views, but for a great show of your talent and as a challenge. I'd love to see you remix more tracks from this game. I make music myself so I know it isn't easy, but coverage of this game hasn't died down yet and the soundtrack has been generally well-received. I can't see where an effort on this front would go wrong. Of course though, it's all up to you.

Hands down still my favourite rendition of Acid Man's theme! The melody of the original was always catchy, but it really stands out to me in this far less busy composition.

Thank you so much for doing this! I have a question though Let me preface that I know absolutely nothing about Famitracker lol.
At a few points in the video, the note being displayed on the leftmost track isn't what's actually played. For example, at 0:14 it shows a C#4, but it's actually a D#4. The same thing happens again at 0:18, showing an F4 when it's actually a G4. Both of these lines, though, have a Q22 tag after them. Since they're both shifted up 2 semitones, is this Famitracker's version of a double sharp? And if so, why do it this way instead of using D# or G? Sorry to be a bother, I was just trying to learn this on piano and was very confused when what I saw on the screen didn't match what I heard haha. Thanks so much again!
I am aware there are many musical errors in this, but thanks for pointing them out. I may do a remake of this some point in the future but I've got bigger priorities on my plate right now.
Oh I seem to have misunderstood your comment lol. The QXY effect slides the note up by that number of semitones, where X equals the speed and Y equals the semitone number.
@@Reyn_the_Insane Wow thank you for the fast response! Yes, the audio itself is right, the lettering on the leftmost tracker just threw me off. Then I noticed the text after the note and realized it must be some sort of function Famitracker has.
This is my absolute favorite version of this track, I don't think you need to change a thing, even if some of it might be different from the original :D so glad I found your channel!

something that I love about megaman is to deduce to which task each robot is committed so you will know what you are facing ... the easiest to deduce are those of construction like Impact man, Clash Man, Hard Man, etc. Or the entertainment that these always have levels of amusement parks, or funny like Clown Man, Magic Man, Bounce Man, etc.
Acid Man is in the category of the sewers as were Toad Man, Pump Man and I think his task is that of a cleaning robot. It is notorious for the robots that inhabit the level, which many bring cleaning brushes, is like a detergent bottle with legs. :V

I used to think Mega Man 11 had a weak soundtrack, now I realize it just had a weak soundfont. I don't know what it is, but the instruments they use don't have the right punch and the volume balance between them is just kind of off.
I'm not saying 8-bit Mega Man music is totally superior, but the way you've arranged it here feels less cluttered and highlights the melody with a soundfont that actually grabs your attention.
