When I have tried ruler quilting on a large quilt, I have found it hard to stop, reposition my hands and then start again, without getting a very obvious jog in the line. The bulk is hard to manage! But you make the stops and starts AND managing the bulk look so easy! It is lovely to watch you!
I am doing a Cozy quilt design 3 layer cake with black. A friend suggested that I echo the color square to help the 3D effect. I tried to add a photo but it seems like I can’t. Would love your input.
When machine quilting, how are you preventing the machine from taking extra stitches while repositioning? Are you stopping the machine with the needle down? Or are there other tricks? Thanks!
I bought them on her website. And they are great! I also own the regular full fingered gloves but always have to keep taking them off to do thread stuff, etc. But these you can wear 2 ways... 1 way so your last few fingers are free (middle finger through pinky finger or the 2nd way... You have your thumb and next 2 fingers free.... I highly recommend them!
