Super helpful! As someone surfing around TH-cam looking to get into this game, many talks like this assume you know the game & throw around rules references left and right, leading to a confusing mess I can’t decipher. Your video was great bc you stuck with general language & descriptions I could totally understand without knowing the rules. Thanks!!
A solid place to start for those looking for a new army. Ive added it to the new player section of our discord. Ive got some different experiences with the power level of some of these factions but both the overall coverage of strengths and weaknesses as well as recommendations for starting units for the secretarials will be very welcome. Thank for you for the resource and I appreciate the effort you put in.
Good Video enjoyed a nice breakdown and dips of lore + talking about the generalized pros and cons of the many factions/sectorials, I had a couple little comments of random 2 cents that you might find useful. And I mean these in serious good faith constructive critique. 1- I assume at 14:30 you meant descendants as I doubt they could be ancestors to the USA if it isnt around anymore. :P 2 - This is partially subjective, but please.... drop the voice. When you accidentally left a take of you trying to reread a line 25:20 and you talk in your normal voice and it sounds 1000% better. Far more natural and concise even in the half second left in. Especially because you stop clipping your mic like when you do dropping every big breath into the headset mic when you are doing the what I assume is the "Interesting Narrator voice." 3 - Invest in a mic and use audacity to level out your peaks and troughs, itll help for the ^ clipping instances. As well as much work as it can be, I'd recommend breaking every text box there into chunks and stitching them (it looks like you did that but for each major faction rather than each text box) which means every faction you can hear as you lose water in your mouth and you slowly slur words more with less articulation. So id recommend having lots of water and practicing articulation and enunciating when you speak, and then doing the VA as itll help you be precise when speaking and alleviate the noticeable drop in articulation as you finish a recording section. 3.1 - You are allowed to redo a take, or cut and paste a new word if you need to. I noticed multiple times you doing this but here is the most useful one for what ill say. At around 34:20 you mispronounce " Objectives " and you noticed it, paused, then continued. Great practice in not just giving up the paragraph, but if you do that then use the free phat blank in audio to just rerecord the word and paste that fucker in and cut up each side of the word to make it more natural. You can even instead of pausing just yell or clap really fucking loud into the mic to make a noticeable bump in audio level to making stitching easier. This is literally a technique that musicians use, most notably rappers and they call it the "Punch-In Method" as they are basically just punching in the bars rather than actually doing an entire verse in 1 take, if done REALLY tight it "can" be noticeable, but if done perfectly you wont even notice that you edited it at all. 3.2 - From the Druze section onwards IDK what happened to your audio recording or if you had a fan running but a mosquito hum from then on is quite grading, hearing a low volume but high pitch humm and buzz definitely will kill your watch time ,and if you know what happened Id definitely say fix it. 4. At 37:34 , at first I thought I somehow opened a copy of the video. I dont even gotta explain you already know, Id say tho if you pina comment warning of the audio edit oopsie it might help. 5. Background music, good choice and good overall leveling in keeping it lower than your voice, high enough to hear, but still low enough to not be distracting. Except for when the track ends, id say fade out that audio sooner and fade IN the repeat sooner so its not a notable gap of half a second where youre re-layering the loop back again. Hopefully this is useful feedback! I know the negativity bias can be big, so while I mention these thats bc everything else was great! Good use of not blinding white backgrounds, good contrasting colors most the time for your text so still legible and well done on using key art for the slides. Were you inspired by Auspex Tactics of WH40k by any chance?
I got Haqqislam! Which was actually my first faction! Although I doubt the veracity of the quiz: the last question it asked me was which colour do I prefer - pink or green. And that was the difference between Aleph and Ariadna!
A great video, and the best faction overview of the game I think I've seen for new players looking to get into the game! It sounds a little like you are using a clothing worn microphone or are holding your mic as you talk, causing a lot of audio artifacts, would recommend a freestanding microphone or to mount your microphone in a way that you don't have to touch.
Heh! I like CB's quality in minifigs and have mix of JSA and White Banner units currently. Thinking of expaning my White Banner towards White Company though.
There is a bit of a problem with aleph / steel phalanx audio traslation, anyway fantastic job I have a group that play weekly at my lgs but idk if this is the game for me, OSS seems cool tho, but I need to understand what being hackable actually mean ahah
Hacking is just spell casting. Your tags, robots, hackers and heavy support units can all be hacked. Hacking can be used to buff, debuff or harm units.
A meticulous and well-rounded, alas flawed, presentation. You make a series of biased assertions like for example, "Kosmoflot is the strongest Ariadna sectorial" (how on earth do you even measure that?). Or "nothing stands out in Qapu Khalki" (being able to field four holomasked troops, - as fireteam members to boot - doesn't stand out?!) etc., and other extremely subjective opinions presented as fact.
I'm going off the infinity statistics initiatives and other resources I found, Kosmoflot just seems to win more on average, but I agree there's definitely more to discuss there. Qapu khalki is one I don't see a lot but that's a good point I overlooked.
PanOceania, the Pan-Oceanic nation has as far as I can see, three units to represent all of Oceania - Alkalis, Bagh Mari and Croc-Men. Two European themed sub-factions MO and SWF and Acontecimento, which is Brazilian. I know the lore about the EU and Brazil joining the alliance but why not represent the most populous and committed members of the bloody hyperpower?? Whilst Aleph has an entire subfaction named after figures from Hinduism?!

I just took CB’s online quiz and ended up with Aleph… so Aleph it is then!
Where can I find said quiz?

At Corvus Belli's Infinity Universe website, Code One game page (sorry - the link I've been trying to post keeps disappearing)

I am using a cheap headset right now. I need too look into buying a diffrenct mic, thanks for the feedback.
Nice! 😍
Great job!
Hour long video needs a summary at the end!
Looks cool.
Are the Nomads the closest thing to Space Pirates?
Yu Jing of course!!!!!! White Banner is indeed da bomb!!!! You don't even need camo marker!
