Thank you Mark, speckled trout over 25 inches are pretty rare in my area, so I feel pretty lucky. Right place, right time as the saying goes. Thanks for watching.
More like the Speck of a Lifetime J.....I've never seen a Trout that large nor do I ever expect to catch one around here that large!! I'll trade you some Redfish and throw in a Snookster for good measure to get hooked up to a Beast in the Bay.....LOL....Glad to sea you back on the Salt and Catchin' the Biggin's.....Sea Ya!!😎🎣
Greetings friend, very good catch of trout, I plan to go to Big Lagoon this weekend, excellent place, I also fish by kayak and I also have a TH-cam channel
Sorry to hear the back is still bothering you, hope the new round of treatments helps. It sucks when you can't do the things you enjoy but sure does help when you have a day like this. What a fish!!!!!!! Since I'm watching this a few days after this trip I hope the back is still doing well. So what is the biggest trout you've caught?
Thanks Steve, I felt ok afterward, and am looking forward to the next time. I have been fortunate to catch quite a few large trout (over 25 inches) in my 66 years of fishing. As a teenager, I lived on a local bayou that was private, a dock extended across the mouth, preventing boaters, and the shoreline was fenced and marked as private property. Large trout were plentiful in the winter months. Occasionly, I would keep one to sell. The largest I ever sold weighed a shade over 12 pounds (gutted). It was probably 33-34 inches.
Hey Steve, it was 68 degrees when I launched, 71 at 0900, getting better hopefully. I did see some finger mullet just past the pavilion and schools of glass minnows off the point.
Wow biggest one I ever seen, outstanding job, love you 😃

What a trout!!! Glad to see you’re feeling better and that the fish gods welcomed you back with a great day on the water!
Thanks Jon, a special day for me indeed.
Glad you are doing better. I also have delta with the back issues. Yoga and stretching has really helped me. Tight lines to you
You’re right, stretching really helps, but I haven’t tried yoga yet. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching.
Hello from Palm Beach Florida
Hi there and thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Great Trout my friend. My last big one was a 28” back in 2019. I need to get back down that way soon.
Thank you sir, and thanks for watching.
Nice fish Tommy, glad to see you are feeling better.
Thanks Troy. How did the remodel go?
Well it’s still going, lol! It’s actually expanded :(. I do plan to get out soon so maybe we can hook up. After seeing that trout I am pretty excited!
That would be good, hopefully the fishing will get better soon.

Thank you sir. Enjoy the weekend and hope you catch some fish.
Damn! a fish like that could make the whole month. I could tell how big it was during the fight, your voice started shaking.
A whole lot of months for me! I do get excited over big fish.

Nice😎!
Did you notice water temp?

Giant trout. You know you lied to that fish saying you just want to look at it. You had to get your hands on it.
So true Andrew, so true. Thanks for watching.
She......trout that size are females. One like that will make lots of baby trout. Good job on releasing her.
I know, you must have missed my comment later in the video. Thanks for watching.
