I finally launched my kayak again after months of it sitting in the garage. I wanted to see how the flats were doing despite heavy spring break traffic. No luck in the bay at all. However, the inside of the lagoon was pretty good. Managed a fair amount of trout and small reds towards the back. There were some bigger reds pushing bait in the shallow part of the lagoon but couldn't get them to bite. Maybe you could give them a try if nothing else works. Hopefully the bite picks up soon. Take care.
Good to hear that. I have tried to get back there a couple of times, but on a low tide there was not enough water. The tides will do their spring shift on the next full moon with more day time high tides that will provide a better opportunity. Those fish should also start moving out to the flats soon. Glad to see a new video from you. Not sure if you will remember but you were near me when I caught my first redfish out of my blue Vibe Sea Ghost a few years ago in that area. My boys and I have loved watching your videos and it was great to meet you that day.

GINS national park took 3 areas that have always been cordoned off for nesting birds and turned them into parking lots! Guess Joni Mitchell was right😃 "took paradise and turned it into a parking lot"
Good to see you out on the water, I've not had much time to do that this year either. Were you using a drone for some of this video, just seemed higher views from behind you then normal? Short but sweet, well except for the no trailer part. Enjoy the fishing with your friend next week.
I have a Insta360 camera mounted on a long stick. It gives 360 degree views. I went again two days later and got skunked. Maybe the fish will show up soon.
Nice to see a multi spotter "J" and here lately the weather is all SCA's!! Tough break with the launch area.....It's just another excuse to keep people off the water..... Nothing wrong with first come...first serve.....Here in this county it's all about pay to play!!😎🤬
An officer (Park Ranger) came in right after I turned off my camera and gave the same story. I know quite a few old guys like me that use that launch. I feel for them.

Sand flies (noseums some call em') are tearing me up at dawn.
Not much else. Did see my first mullet jump on the N side last week.
