    Good review. I've already ordered one from Huckberry, so it was nice to see my choice confirmed. I commute on both motorcycle and occasionally bicycle, and I carry lunch and a fair amount of gear, so I think this will be perfect. BTW, the expression is "for all INTENTS and purposes", not intensive.....

      Thanks. Definitely meant “intents” maybe my Miami accent got the better of the word.

    For me a sling bag should have side access to the main compartment so you can swing it around to the front without removing the bag from your body.

      That’s a valid point. I can’t think of many slings of this form-factor that do, though. Is there one specifically that you have in mind? My Cotopaxi Chasqui has a side access compartment as well as a clam shell compartment. The Code of Bell X-Pak also has some interesting access configuration.

      @@ofthetraveler thanks I'll check out those two bags. I have a very simple think thank camera sling. Also not sure that front pocket opening on both sides is such a great idea. For sure I would forget to close one side and the contents would end up on the ground.

    Hi, thanks I enjoy your videos, which are very balanced. How do you find the stiffness of the strap? I have the Errant pack, and despite the small internal size it works well for me. My major problem with the Errant backpack is that the straps are so firm and extremely uncomfortable on the shoulders

      That’s a good question, personally, I never even noticed the stiffness of the strap, it felt fine - enough that it wasn’t a concern. When I went camping with this thing, it was almost fully loaded with several pounds of stuff.

    Thanks for your Review, its really useful. Too me its to big for a sling. If I would carry so much stuff, i would also take my GR1 or another backbag.

      You’re right. Which is one of the reasons I had problems finding a way to use it. It has a lot of utility, but if you’re a person that has access to other high-quality packs, it could end up being superfluous.

    The bag is great, but the black rubber looking stuff cracks and peels after a while!

      You’re absolutely right. One of the reasons, that, time, I’ve gone to more natural materials like canvas and leather for the bags that I keep long term.

    Hi...in your opinion ...do you think it may be possible to pair this sling worn frontally with a backpack on the back? .... For business trips of 3-4 days.

      Hi Gio, this was a use case that I bought this bag for. Unfortunately, the pack is a little too big, at least for my frame; it looked weird on me. Slinging it around to the front to grab something is fine, but to walk around like that looks weird. If I may, give the Bellroy Venture Sling a look, or the Code of Bell X-Pod. Either one has a ton of expandability. The Venture is classier, but the X-Pod has a more urban/tech look. Hope this helps.

    This or the stasis ?

    • @ofthetraveler
      @ofthetraveler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d go with the Errant. The Stasis is more of a budget line of packs. Although, the form factors are a little different, so that’s a consideration too.

      @@S3aCa1mRa1n with all those latch points, that sounds pretty awesome. Nice! I hope it works out brilliantly for you.
