    Glory to God. Indeed it's an important to have Godly parents whose opinions and thoughts align together and they lead thier children in the same direction. Sometimes when the thoughts and opinions of parents are not the same and both of them tell their children to do two Opposite things, one may say yes and the other says no. This is a very difficult situation faced by me, I don't know how many young people out their go through the same. But in this case it's important for the child to see from the perspective of God , what's right to do and this is again only possible if the person cares about God. Parents, who for just name sake are Christians and totally disobedient to God ,seriously mess up their children. God bless us all and especially parents to raise their children in God and give thier children great confidence that mom and dad love each other.

    Always looking forward to know more of Proverbs. I rather expound the Word of God, slowing digesting than passing through. I’m continuing after a few months break. Thank you Ps Paul, shalom to you

    Thank you Brother Paul for doing this study. I am 38 years old and still this study is definitely helping me to examine my own life and helping me to grow in wisdom so that I can teach my own children how to grow up in wisdom from the Lord. You are truly a blessing sent from God. Thank you again. May God continue to richly bless you and your family Brother Paul.

    How do I honor a father I barely knew all my life but just recently started talking to again? I ask myself this question often and pray to the lord for an answer. Thank you for all that you do God bless 🙏🏼❤️

      Hi
      Hope you are fine.
      Same for me over here.
      But I recently learnt that by just seeking to involve them in our lives as much as possible, and seeking his advice from time to time.

    There are three way to get crown on the head:
    First: Listening the councels a father and mother
    Second: Seeking wise and understanding
    Last: To be the person balanced

    Question: What advice do you have for single adults who still live with their parents, regarding obeying parents. Sometimes I want to do my own thing as an adult aligning with God's word but my parents disagree or have different plans for me than I do.

    • @zhilaav
      @zhilaav 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Very relatable! I live in this same situation. I've learned that remaining in obedience is very necessary, even as adults.

    • @christistocome6632
      @christistocome6632 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it depends on what situation you should obeying tbem or not for example if its about chores and their advice ,you should abey until it contradicts the scriptures of God , you have to descern what is right and wrong according to the Word of God and do as it guides you through your Journey , lets say you wanna preach to someone about Gospal and you parents stopping you then listen to God .

    • @camillustsuma9829
      @camillustsuma9829 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree.
      I'm in the same position at the moment. I loved Paul Washer's statement that we can win over our parents by being obedient to them.
      He gave the example of where we want to go to church 3 times a week and our parents want us to go twice. He said that we should obey them because we are not commanded to go to church 3 times a week.
      He added on to say that sometimes when we contradict our parents they might think we are in a sect or something.
      And personally I think there is a lot we can do to show our parents love by obeying them while we are still living under their roof.
      But afterwards we are supposed to honour them, because we are adults and no longer children.

    Brother Paul, I’m a newly saved Christian who did not grow up in a Godly home.. how do I honor my parents when they get angry at the truth I share with them and try to tell them about? They tell me to shut up and quit talking about God but it terrifies me that if they die in their sins that they are going to hell. How can I love and honor them, yet not warn them of their emanate danger? Bless you brother.

    Brother Paul, can you talk a little more about why you said personally you wished you had been more wiser. Reason Im asking is Im reading some of your older books.. just finished the Narrow Gate Narrow Way. Just wondering if you are feeling now that you should have been harsh or something? Just curious to know..
