    Great audio tips. I like how you listed the tips with times in the description. I did that on a recent video and it took a while. Thanks.

      Hi Mac. I do that now on many videos because of the length. This helps people get to what they want more quickly if they don't want to watch the whole video.

    The part 4 where the louse noise of fan could not get removed is the real pain. You would get amazed if you try to remove noise of this same clip in Camtasia 8.6. So, a feature working awesomely in version 8.x got ruined with the new update.

    • @GordIsman

      Sometimes this happens in the evolution of the software. It helps to let them know that you miss what was taken so that they will factor that in for future consideration if it's relevant.

    Hey Gord, Good tips. I started using Audacity to remove background noise and other incidental noise since I do most of my audio as voice over after shooting the screen shots I need for my videos. It also helps me remove those High-S's I get in my audio.

      So, I played your example. I hear a lot of plosives hitting the mic. Plosives can be avoided with good mic technique. The most effective way to avoid P-Pops is to position the mic “off-axis.” That means speak off to the side, at an angle, rather than directly in front of the microphone. Alternately, one can position the mic slightly above the mouth - pointing it down. Also, are you using a pop filter? If not, adding a pop filter will help as well. I hope this helps!

    Thanks a lot Sir Isman. You're great as usual. I have a youtube education channel. I record my voice on laptop input microphone. I try to use noise removel tool quite a lot but not enough for me. Could you recommend me a good but cheap microphone?

      If you download my ebook - link in the video description, you'll find some recommendations in there! If you don't see something there you like, reach out again and provide me a few more details about what types of recording you're doing and the environment you are recording in and I'll see what I can suggest.

    How do you train Camtasia 2019 to remove audio noise within a selection of an audio track? I did not see you showing this and in my opinion is the most important part. There have been several times now where I drag and drop the audio noise removal with horrible results even after adjusting the properties. How can you tell Camtasia to ONLY analyse a selection of an audio track and use that as a baseline?

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, any application of the Noise Removal gets applied to the whole track. That said, you can see In this additional video - deeper dive, I show you how I tinker with with the Analyze feature plus the Sensitivity and Amount settings: th-cam.com/video/SJJzCE4zRyM/w-d-xo.html to get a good result. The bottom line, from my experience, the best results are achieved when you have a pretty consistent noise level that you are dealing with to remove. if you are dealing with lots of noise in an outside environment, you'll find that it's tough to tune a good result with the Noise Removal. Yes, sometimes you need to tinker a lot. I hope this helps!

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, it can be for many reasons, but I'll suggest a few and what to do. If it's from your heating/AC, then I suggest you turn it off while recording. What is your mic setup? The mic setup can also impact the noise level. For example, if you plug a mic into a camera, and it's set on auto for audio level setting then the circuits will try to raise the volume on your recording when the room is quiet and no one is talking, causing a louder noise floor to be recorded. To remedy this, look into turning your mic input volume to manual control and then balance the camera and mic volume to get a nice clean result. One other fact might be that the mic or mixer (if using) just might cause a noisy ambiance/sound floor. In this case, you should try to tweak the levels in the way the video describes to get rid of the noise sound. Play with the noise removal Sensitivity and Amount variables. I tend to change Sensitivity a little and then adjust the Amount over a range. You can do this over and over again by play with this pair of settings.
