I actually ended up running a wire that I cut back into the side of the junction box inside the wall and to the metal mounting bracket. Good eye though!! Just a suggestion, your ground isn’t grounded, because the mounting plate is attached to wood siding. You should have had a bare copper wire coming out of the house with black and white wires, which you should have secured the green to the bare copper wire to be grounded. Attaching the green wire to the ground screw would only work if the mounting plate was attached to an electrical box which is grounded. Nice product. I need to change out my old motion light as well.
