Do you have the power cable with the right angled end? I can see that being a possible source of problems with the power jacks if someone wants to keep it close to the side of a table. That would be because of the way the cord hangs down, it could put some stress on the power jack if someone not mindful of the cord moves the computer. I can see why they designed it like this (keep it from protruding and causing it to bump into things while on the lap of someone in a chair). I am trying to find out if there is a power supply cable with a straight end instead of the right angle. Maybe it is just a design preference, but I am used to having straight power cables for things like these. I am particularly careful of not pulling on the power cord even accidentally and always leave slack so that I do not accidentally end up with a loose or broken power jack but sometimes that is hard to avoid. If I had a dollar for every laptop with a broken power jack, I would be a billionaire. That is just how common it is. They seem to design things as throwaways these days or just hard to upgrade. My 17-x037cl does have upgradeable parts like older laptops but they did a bad thing when they designed it. They didn't leave little access panels in the bottom of the case (the ones that are held by one or two screws at the most usually).
This helps me out alot for figuring out the disassembly for the screen cable
Thanks for sharing this video. I just fixed my power jack all by myself (of course) with the help of your video. My husband will be sooo stoked😁😁😁
