I’ve exercised with weights since I was probably 15 . I’m 64 and still do the weights but with more reps less heavyweights. A 40 minute workout every other day and I feel great and still get a decent pump. To me it’s nice knowing my strength ability and endurance. Eat a salad 🥗 most days, lots of chicken just because I like it and never tire of it. A big tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil every morning. Your videos are very good. The routine is smart the small but steady steps is important. It’s sort of like starting a healthy life as a young person then if you’re lucky enough to live older it will pay dividends. So important to keep learning and not get hooked on any trash programs of tv of reality shows. Stay away from newspapers and keep depressing negative people out of your life as much as possible they will suck the life out of you. God bless you

I'm thrilled to hear that you find value in our videos and that the routine resonates with you. You're absolutely right, it's all about those small but steady steps. They may seem small in the moment, but they add up to huge strides over time. I love your perspective on aging - it's not about getting old, it's about living well, and if we're lucky, reaping the benefits of a lifetime of good habits 🥰

@@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement sorry about all the misspelling of everything I don’t usually read my own comments unless someone reply’s as you did here. Then I read my lines first then edit 😂 I found it funny I had a 4 minute workout 😂 and a salsa not a salad 😂 never sure if this spell checker just changes things for a laugh. But I get a kick out of it.

I'm onboard about limiting sugar (insulin response) and deep-fat fried foods (trans fats), but where will I get my protein if I remove red meat and cheese? I do eat fish and beans also.

It's great to hear that you're on board with making some healthier dietary changes - your body will surely thank you!
Now, about your protein concerns: Many people share this worry when considering cutting down on red meat and cheese, but rest assured, there are plenty of other protein sources out there. 🥦🥚
You're already on the right track with fish and beans, two fantastic protein sources. But let's not forget about poultry, like chicken and turkey. They're lean, versatile, and packed with protein.
Eggs are another excellent choice - they're not just for breakfast anymore! Plus, plant-based proteins like lentils, quinoa, and tofu can be delicious additions to your meals.
And let's not forget about nuts and seeds - they're protein powerhouses! Sprinkle them on salads, stir them into oatmeal, or enjoy a handful as a nutritious snack.
Remember, variety is the spice of life (and diet)! Mixing up your protein sources will not only ensure balanced nutrition but also keep your meals exciting.

I frequently eat chicken. I have nuts (pecans, sometimes walnuts), blueberries and olive oil in my protein smoothie. But why is red meat and cheese problematic? I try to go low carb, most of my energy calories comes from fat (oils). @@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
