you parked way too close to the far right lane which put you and your car in danger. you could have moved over several feet more to make it easier for moving traffic.
This is why you have to have a spare tire. My GR Corolla didn't come with one either but I added one where they should have put one in the first place in the hatch under the floor. I never want to be caught without a spare and rely on a tow truck as the same thing would happen to my splitter lip too.
@@MarcoTLX Thanks. I do love it. It's so fun ripping through the gears on the back roads and in the mountains. I'm looking forward to taking it on its first road trip from WA State down to CA for Toyotafest next month. It's going to be a blast driving the back roads down. I was glad to see you got the lip all fixed up.
@@jimsgaragetoys sounds like a great chance to really see what the GRC can do. I am happy to have the front lip fully replaced too now I can think about getting some more accessories for my TLX
The tow company should definitely be paying for the repairs to your splitter. You have it on video showing the splitter being dragged and lifted when it was getting driven up the bed. No shot should you pay for any of repairs for the splitter.
Oh without a doubt Tanner, once my insurance sent the tow company over the video with claim, they accepted liability and replaced my front splitter 100% on their dime.

I still prefer that red analogue from my 2023 TLX Type S over the new digital one. Now because of what happened to you I'm considering buying a spare tire for the back. 😆
I have heard a lot of type S folks put on 19inch rims and go for some 255/R45/19’s. For exactly this reason. Low wall tires look cool but they hurt the wallet baadd when you hit a hole. Might not have helped here but…
@@MurderMostFowl my tire and wheel protection warranty covered the entire cost of a new tire so thankfully I had no out of pocket expense for this situation
A lot of newer cars are like this now especially sportier cars my Veloster N is the same way no spare tire just a air compressors with some sealant that doesn’t work ig they do it for weight saving i have no idea.
It’s up to the owner/leaser to have a spare or donut. Also, the tow driver is supposed to lay down wood to load the car onto the flat. This Acura wasn’t even lowered. 🤦🏽♂️
Still check your rim... I highly doubt it's okay. It happened to me. No flat tire but both rims were bent :/ $2,500 bill the warranty did not cover everything. As for the puddle lights, they fixed it once for mine 2 months after buying the car. It's now about to be two years and no issues. (:
Tow truck driver and company is responsible for the damage. Livid, yeah, that’s messed up! Most new cars only come with a compressor and fix a flat tire, which I think is garbage. Get a spare tire in the back along with jack and tool to get the lugnuts off. Overall nice ride, looking for one in dark blue. Good luck to you.
I've had enough close calls with my A-Spec where I would have TRASHED the Type S splitter. 8:40 the 2.0T version just needs a tune for it to come alive but, it wont be the package that the Type S is.

Aye I love Acura warranty if you get prepared from there I got 100k miles warranty on this hoe I get anything fixed from leather to a damage and windshield and got unlimited tires and rims for that time and 5 years of oil changes free
This is true, however in this case it was important for me to get a flatbed since my TLX is AWD and towing it any other way would damage the drivetrain.
Okay so the two company should have been responsible for the damages done. Open a claim with them. (Liability) each tow company has insurance specifically for this reason and or out of pocket the cost for you

You knew it had no spare tire before you bought the thing so complaining about it after the fact is pointless and if you didn't know about it than shame on you for not doing your research. Also I'm so sick of fanboys saying that this car is underrated. There's nothing underrated about the TLX Type S.
