As soon as I read the Alleria short story and the narration mentioned "freshly painted houses" in Silvermoon I knew it was setting the scene for player housing. And I think the other given with player housing is a world revamp to some extent, maybe limited to zones that receive housing options at first such as the new Draenei city and Silvermoon.
I enjoyed my garrison, but still think one of the funnest times was when the instance server was down and there was like 50 of us all standing around hanging out in a single garrison. I think taking the garrison idea along with phasing and applying it to a new hub city would be neat. Come in at expansion start and start building the city up, leveling it up across the campaign till it's finished or almost finished by the end of it. Could even have a player house in the city. Have everyone share the city and contribute to it's construction via their campaign story. Phasing the various stages. Capture that vibe of building a WC3 base on a new map similar to garrisons but done right making it a hub city.
I honestly want more personable and compact zones with a high density of detail, things to do and interact with, that also doesn't allow you to fly. I love this and the idea of player housing/different Warband backgrounds. Different character screen backgrounds should've been done over a decade ago. Another cool random idea for the Warbands screen is just being able to select an idle/whatever "stance" you want your characters to take when not selecting them (as the weapon drawn animation is fine for when selected said character is clicked) and just in general be able to add more favorites to the Warband. If they want you to have nearly 1 of every class amount of alts (and I already do.) It would be nice to fit at least that many characters on screen.
I stopped at 10.1… just got back into it, I’m blown away by how beautiful dragonflight is. All the newer areas are so freaking cool, definitely sad I dropped out then. I forgot how impossibly hard it is to figure out which quest to do first when playing through an old expansion, WoW’s story is so hard to follow.. I’m hoping the war within will go on sale soon
How is it hard? Go to Chromie. She sends you to a timeline. With the breadcrumb quest that IS the starting quest that continues on until you're done with Dragonflight. Same with the other expansions! It's very, very easy to know what to do next while leveling, now.
What if more camps, like, literally means more camps? Instead of the one camp we have at the top of the character select we get multiple-- maybe as many as we want-- camps to organize our characters into? Especially nice if we get new camp backgrounds too. We could put our undead alts in a camp with a spooky background. Or we could put our Horde alts in a camp with a Barrens background, Or we could put our Alliance alts in a camp with, I dunno, an orc prison camp or burning vulpera caravans background so they'd feel at home. I think it could be pretty neat and useful.
There’s so much variety in decor styles across Azeroth but MAN give me some Kul Tiran stuff! I’ll go sit in Kul Tiras for weeks to get my seafaring furniture
For Player Housing: I want an apartment in Orgrimmar/Stormwind, an apartment in Grizzly Hills or Nagrand (from Outland, not WoD), and a beachhouse in Tanaris. For Warband campfire: I want 8 characters of my choosing in the scene, with 4 in the front area and 4 in the background area. I want for each character to have the option of either sleeping, chopping down a tree, cooking food/eating, practicing fighting/training with a dummy (or each other), playing with pets, reading a book, etc.
I wonder if the housing system will be similar to New World, where there are a large collection of different "grades" of houses available in various towns (different price points and space), players can purchase up to 3, and multiple players can buy the same house, but their own version of it is visible by default (although you can choose to "see" other players' versions). Guildmates can visit, (anyone can choose to "view" the home but will see it empty of players, but guildies can join you for dinner) and houses in distant cities can be used for teleporting to that place - so 3 extra hearthing points. Furniture and decor can be crafted (and sold - or maybe it's just the patterns that can be sold, can't remember, anyhoo). Seasonal decor can be added, and trophies for achievements. Level-related trophies (and profession-related) grant buffs when installed in the home. I can't wait :-D (is this what FFIV is like too? I've never played)
As somebody who has never really cared for/been interested in player housing, I am nonetheless happy for all the players who are super excited for this and confident that Blizzard believes it'll be good for the long term health of the game. The one specific thing I do hope Blizzard will do around it, ceding all other ideas to people more interested than I, is that if there are exterior elements to the housing that in the open world players can either choose what version of the exterior to see or there's an ESO-esque pre-furnished version that shows by default. I'm happy for people to be able to design to their hearts content' but I just hope I'm not forced to see somebody's jarring creation that I'm sure they love but would ruin my immersion. I think ESO handles that part in a great way that I could see WoW being capable of replicating (with the addendum that who knows if exterior elements will even be included, the teaser certainly only showed the inside of the building).
Personally I think when it comes to player housing there is obviously going to be a system to 'rank' other player's houses and for the most part anywhere where there is a player housing option there should be a neighbourhood of 5 houses. 1st house - Your House (obviously) 2nd house - The Top Rated House from the last week 3rd house - An "Editors Choice" House where one of the top 10/20 rated player houses are displayed chooses by devs. 4th house - A Random House, chosen from any player who has actively been interacting with the system ('actively' so that there isn't just one abandoned house) 5th house - An NPC house, one designed for devs that's owned by a NPC from the zone/area A neighbourhood of 5 would be important as that's obviously the number of people for a party and as a player joins the houses in that neighbourhood would be swapped out (in the order 4,3,2,5) so that you can go to friends houses whilst solo players don't always have empty lots around them.
@wolfshanze5980 I'm willing to bet a wow coin that it will be more like a house on land rather then just a house. That being said, in the closest of course
Glad for player housing. I hope they create a Woodworking and Lumberjack profession to go along with it. It would finally expand the professions and open up another set of gathering and finishing professions to the game that should have been added long ago. Those professions could do more than just player housing stuff, there could be wooden armor like we saw in SL as well as staffs and shields and wands etc. etc. etc.. Also i want my player housing in a snowy backdrop like Winterspring please, no one else out there but me on the side of a mountain with the big cats around, a nice cabin or whatever with a fire and some cozy sleeping arrangements with a keg and other cozy implements with some nice Christmas decorations. THAT is the dream.
Devs will very likely use Stormwind's original player/guild housing portal as entrance (I mean, why not, if not else to eventually fulfill its purpose) but I hope they will implement a lot of different locations throughout the world(s), allowing player to choose the one they like the most. An extra hearthstone is due, too, of course.
I want a cool viking longhouse character screen where my main can be sat in a throne King Conan style. But I'll settle for guild halls and guild hall char screens where I can see my chars and whoever is online walking around our fully player furnished and achievement decorated guild hangout. You know, settle.
I'm loving the bit where Evitel is complaining about Tali spoiling Christmas by revealing to the kids what gifts they bought, then having to buy a bunch more gifts for the kids LOL! It's just so relatable. I mean, just last week I was like "Do we eat today or put gas in the car? LOLOLOL".
I know this will never happen, but instead of a camp fire with four characters sitting around it, I would love to see a dynamic battleground with ALL your account characters featured together. A last stand against a chosen foe (undead, demons, horde/alliance troops?) who charge your warband like the Black Gate battle in Return of the King: your melee characters in the front line, ranged behind and healers providing support. As you choose your character the camera sweeps to them as they fight bravely against impossible odds. This is probably too much work for just a character select screen, but one can dream.
I feel like Blizz solved much of the struggle with player housing when they launched Delves. How that phasing works in the game is so god damn good! and fits perfect for player housing too
I played through the Goblin Starting zone and nearly at the very beginning the trolls there say that things were better in the Undermine! Love the details and lore so FREAKING much!
In talks about Cities and Homes, Durotar is also gaining itself an Oasis and plenty of the Earthen also talk about making Orgrimmar have a better port and more space opened up through its mountains and such. I suspect we might get new updates to our cities maybe to reflect the new districts for our houses! Or it's just something along with the houses themselves!
If i'm hearing things correctly, it sounds like the background music is a clip from a Sufjan Steven's track "Should Have Known Better" - starting at about 2:38 in the song, for anyone curious.
Can someone please explain to me "Brewfest updates" being in summer? Last I checked, October is not a summer month and it's literally based on an October festival with October in the name.
I would love to see them make housing similar to POE hideouts with my favorite npc's hanging out or my warband toons sharing a drink in the living space. POE also added a hideout decoration that you can place your favorite armor appearances on, not only to display them but to easily swap between them. Would be so cool to log into my WoW home and see the Judgement 2.0 next to my Radiant Lightbringer set and clicking on one of them to transmog before heading out into the world.
I like the idea that the warbands backgrounds are rewards for quest chains that add to the story of the game. Lets the team put in the foundations for new stories. What has been happening in winterspring or something since it was relevant content.
I liked the housing logo better before. You could clearly see that it symbolized a house. Personally, I love housing and I look forward to driving my goblin car into the garage of my future house. Or landing with my flying bat pet on the landing spot above the roof of my house. I want to customize my house so that it becomes a puzzle with hidden walls and secrets. Basically, I want to rebuild the Bat Cave (not really) to have a marvelous (I don't know English very well) time with my characters. But maybe just sitting on a table an playing a card game with virtual friends, would be enough for me. Love you WoW ♥
Assuming player housing is more like ESO and less like FO76 in which we're getting set locations for plots, I think it'd be a mistake to launch it was just one choice of location for horde and alliance. I'm not expecting the moon, just give us like 3. Heck, one of those locations could even be shared between the factions.
I’d love for the Warband background be related to small quest, maybe with the Explorer’s Guild. Like hey let’s explore this secret spot we heard about, sounds like it’s beautiful then there you go it’s unlocked as a background
As cool as it would be, I’ll remain skeptical about getting player housing until it’s actually out. I’ve been playing long enough to remember that this was supposed to be a feature as far back as WOTLK, along with the dance studio, and Ghostcrawler promising us a pony. But hopefully we actually do get it this time and it not just be another garrison system.
I’m so hyped for Undermined, man… I’ve wanted more goblin stuff since losing like the only goblin zone we had the same expansion we got it, lol. I’ve played the goblin starting zone sooooo many times
I am so indescribably hype for player housing. I'm literally diving back into the game so I have more things to put in my house now, knowing it's a year+ away!
“Please don’t suck. Please don’t suck. Please don’t suck. “ - my brain after initial excitement. This is something they cannot mess up because so so so many ppl have been begging for it for what? …20 year? lol I would love a house suited to my mains race (BE). I don’t need much else to start. Just give me an elven home. Gold and red. Tucked into the corner of Silvermoon so I can return there and chill. Use some of my toys to play games. Maybe a goblin machine to do in game mini games like the blingtron string game. 💚
I was thinking this artifact was the Hammer of khaz'goroth because in the Highmountain flashback quest, "we didn't make that goblin trash" by the drogbar compaionof Haun Highmountain
Imo what Tali is passing for "guesses" are actually insides from the contacts on dev team that he himself stated he has. They be like "you can't outright spoil it or we'll be in trouble, but do a vague half-correct guess that will do it". Not that I mind ^ ^
I wonder if the timing of Legion Remix happening with player housing means that we might get some House rewards from Legion, maybe class themed decorations from the order hall questlines😉
Tali's shirt is tight. Can be tighter. Evi's shirt is loose. PJ loose. Feels right at home, like in their player house! OG House in SW/Org probably given to player. All other city housing will need to be bought. Right now the Warband screen has us camping. This background will be replaced by the house. No functionality related to power is good. But cheeky access to portal room sounds good lol. Eventually you can assign warband chars to each of the houses, and their Home Hearth will reflect that main city. Each home will probably house 8 or 10 toons? Camping takes 4 right now. What I want is for a bed to sleep in. A customisable bed. I'm not saying I'll invite NPCs over, but I want to invite NPCs over.
Only one game I played executed player housing properly. It was Tibia xD. You had to auction the house and then pay rent haha but it was worthwhile for item storage, safe zone and regeneration in bed. However mostly it was a way for players to display their items or style. It was so good because having a house in premium location was very expensive to buy it from previous owners and everyone could see you being a baller.
Those weren't Goblins in the cataclysm trailer - They dont look like goblins in the cinematic, and then in Legion they reveal it was the Drogbar who hammered them on I am pretty sure.
I think the Deathwing reference has less to do with the Focusing Iris and more to do with how Xal'atath's little disk thing is basically a proto-Dragon Soul. I think Xal'atath is going to the goblins to help repair the damage done to the disk (and possibly reinforce it to keep that from happening again).
I also don't believe the War Within will end with Keresh. The Harronir still haven't gotten the spotlight, and they have prime placement in the announce cinematic. The final patch is definitely going to have some kind of Harronir focus. Also, I don't think "The War Within" will end with us leaving the planet. Keresh seems much more likely as a patch zone for Midnight.
I just don't want small item limits or surface specific items. I want freedom to build what I want. Learned that much from ESO and SWTOR. I agree that keeping a steady flow of items and locations will increase the player base and make it something people will do almost exclusively.
I want a Warband House... Warlords of Draenor Garrison, but for your whole warband.. so you can actually interact with your alts, or they are working in the camp when you aren't playing as them.

I forgot how impossibly hard it is to figure out which quest to do first when playing through an old expansion, WoW’s story is so hard to follow..
I’m hoping the war within will go on sale soon
Black Friday hopefullyyyyyy
I need somewhere to put my multiple alts of the same class. 😂
There’s so much variety in decor styles across Azeroth but MAN give me some Kul Tiran stuff! I’ll go sit in Kul Tiras for weeks to get my seafaring furniture
Give me the fkin Kraken drip.
Boy did that opening ever hit the nail on the head.
You both speak sarcasm fluently and that's why I love this channel
An ultra rare Evi end-card? Just the cherry on top of a wonderful video
Given the amount of houses in Gilneas that we could not enter, and us recently reclaiming it, a Gilneas apartment sounds good for player housing.
Personally I think when it comes to player housing there is obviously going to be a system to 'rank' other player's houses and for the most part anywhere where there is a player housing option there should be a neighbourhood of 5 houses.
1st house - Your House (obviously)
2nd house - The Top Rated House from the last week
3rd house - An "Editors Choice" House where one of the top 10/20 rated player houses are displayed chooses by devs.
4th house - A Random House, chosen from any player who has actively been interacting with the system ('actively' so that there isn't just one abandoned house)
5th house - An NPC house, one designed for devs that's owned by a NPC from the zone/area
A neighbourhood of 5 would be important as that's obviously the number of people for a party and as a player joins the houses in that neighbourhood would be swapped out (in the order 4,3,2,5) so that you can go to friends houses whilst solo players don't always have empty lots around them.
"The house shouldn't have bank, no trading post"
So true! I need my goblin to have a use for his racial and my 90 dollar mount!
Exactly how do you plan to squeeze a 30-ton Brutosaur into a goblin-sized studio apartment?
@wolfshanze5980 I'm willing to bet a wow coin that it will be more like a house on land rather then just a house. That being said, in the closest of course
I missed how smug you get 😂 "what if there was a wee house on the map" 😊
That is the dream
Devs will very likely use Stormwind's original player/guild housing portal as entrance (I mean, why not, if not else to eventually fulfill its purpose) but I hope they will implement a lot of different locations throughout the world(s), allowing player to choose the one they like the most. An extra hearthstone is due, too, of course.
The player housing icon was changed because it shared a design with a group of pdfs
A group of PDF files?
Depths of the Blackrock
@@tworadonIts slang for Pedos.
I thought the FBI said it was similar to some illuminati shit?
I want a cool viking longhouse character screen where my main can be sat in a throne King Conan style. But I'll settle for guild halls and guild hall char screens where I can see my chars and whoever is online walking around our fully player furnished and achievement decorated guild hangout. You know, settle.
2 minutes in and this is an absolute banger already!!! Love it
I'm loving the bit where Evitel is complaining about Tali spoiling Christmas by revealing to the kids what gifts they bought, then having to buy a bunch more gifts for the kids LOL! It's just so relatable. I mean, just last week I was like "Do we eat today or put gas in the car? LOLOLOL".
Oh sweet, legion remix confirmed? Can DH have their scrapped class order hall mount that is a pair of flying wings?
I know this will never happen, but instead of a camp fire with four characters sitting around it, I would love to see a dynamic battleground with ALL your account characters featured together. A last stand against a chosen foe (undead, demons, horde/alliance troops?) who charge your warband like the Black Gate battle in Return of the King: your melee characters in the front line, ranged behind and healers providing support. As you choose your character the camera sweeps to them as they fight bravely against impossible odds. This is probably too much work for just a character select screen, but one can dream.
That would be epically awesome. I am down for it.
I love your Ion Shirt!
Might have to come back for player housing if it ends up good 😮💨
Me 2 😮💨
If i'm hearing things correctly, it sounds like the background music is a clip from a Sufjan Steven's track "Should Have Known Better" - starting at about 2:38 in the song, for anyone curious.
Yep! It is. Tali is a fan.
Your videos are such a joy to watch, I can't click on the new thumbnail faster
Nice Sylvanas shirt. Is that a hint, i hope so. Epic comeback.
Nah, the artifact goblins will work on is the Dark Heart. The Dragon Soul was just an example.
Evi doing the outro was a welcome surprise
I'm still waiting for Worgen shaman. I hope we get some of the Shammy, Pally and Druid options opened up soon.
I'm lowkey devastated that Ibelin didn't get to see playing housing. I can only begin to imagine the RP hi-jinx he would have dreamed up there.
all the more tragic that his life ended far too soon.
jesus enough with this virtue signaling internet point farm
I’d love for the Warband background be related to small quest, maybe with the Explorer’s Guild. Like hey let’s explore this secret spot we heard about, sounds like it’s beautiful then there you go it’s unlocked as a background
I love my garrisons. One of my favorite parts of WoW :p
Me too!
Same!
I really hope housing comes with the seamless load in - It'll be so immersive. Your personal little space in Azeroth.
Pandaria Remix didn't have farming so I wonder if Legion Remix will have Order Halls.
tbh i doubt as much. especially when our Legendaries will remain dormant... or will they...?
I like Evi doing the outro.
I'd still like to be able to fly in undermine eventually. Threading the needle through tunnels sounds fun
Hold on Tali, when did Ion confirm Legion remix? I don’t remember any news being announced for the next remix
Will this dynamic ground mount feature apply to other mounts in the future? I want to drift on my horse.
Could not wait for this vid discussion!
I genuinely loved horrific visions. Looking forward to them again
I don't watch livestreams so I had no idea Tali called it to that degree. Spot fucking on
Tali gives his kids SECOND Christmas? What a guy.
Can you still run the old BFA version of horrific visions for cosmetic rewards?
As cool as it would be, I’ll remain skeptical about getting player housing until it’s actually out. I’ve been playing long enough to remember that this was supposed to be a feature as far back as WOTLK, along with the dance studio, and Ghostcrawler promising us a pony. But hopefully we actually do get it this time and it not just be another garrison system.
11:57 I know this is not going to happen, but I would like the warband screen to change after what race you have placed there
They need to nail this with player housing, I don’t want the world to feel empty like garrisons.
I’m so hyped for Undermined, man… I’ve wanted more goblin stuff since losing like the only goblin zone we had the same expansion we got it, lol. I’ve played the goblin starting zone sooooo many times
I love your shirt and I wanna see my alts in my home!!
I am so indescribably hype for player housing. I'm literally diving back into the game so I have more things to put in my house now, knowing it's a year+ away!
Epic intro as always 🤣
Not that I mind ^ ^
you see the high level of acting on Tali because we all know he wants to be the one asking all questions about player housing
man is an acting god
Kids these days are so easily impressed!
EVI OUTRO, you nailed it!
I wonder if the timing of Legion Remix happening with player housing means that we might get some House rewards from Legion, maybe class themed decorations from the order hall questlines😉
Legion Remix YES! Housing & you talking about it has to wait because it is over a year away in 2026!!!
Is the car going to work if in a party? They have added ride along to other things?
You got Ion's character on lock, well done!
It was so good because having a house in premium location was very expensive to buy it from previous owners and everyone could see you being a baller.
the warband backgrounds/foregrounds i was themed things like creepy woods with a culderon for hallows eve or something wintery themed for winter.
The map behind the house on the housing icon anyone recognise it or is it going to be a new island for housing ?
Those weren't Goblins in the cataclysm trailer - They dont look like goblins in the cinematic, and then in Legion they reveal it was the Drogbar who hammered them on I am pretty sure.
Order halls would be the easiest free W for a back ground imagine your camp set in the Maelstorm or Light's hope
Poor mages
your Ian impression is perfect
Collision mechanics between cars and like a whole traffic system would be something we don't have enough in our everyday life 😅
I want a Warband House... Warlords of Draenor Garrison, but for your whole warband.. so you can actually interact with your alts, or they are working in the camp when you aren't playing as them.
