Thank you for the video & info. Too many people had negative things to say about KLLM. That was disrespectful you being questioned about your car. I know 9 months to one year goes by quickly but this drama is not worth it. I am glad you realized that & moved on. "EFF them"

You got a great mindset kid. Im 30 and just got my cdl but i have no desire to drive OTR. Dedicated and Regional only. Balancing that mental is important in trucking, life period. Im coming in the game with a little knowledge because of my peers so i know my first company is for experience, get my 4-6 months and leave, money wont be a huge issue. Im coming in with good money and actually will take a pay cut starting out but it’s about the bigger picture. I too will get my own truck once i master the basics. You got a good future bro. Only 23. Big blessings to ya my Brother

Just a tip, im driving with KLLM, the formula im rolling with is 4 weeks out 6-7 days home, you still bring home right around 4000 a month and have that week off, its not really worth it to run 2-3 weeks and home 5 days

Mostly agree. I have to disagree on the part about no pay on off days. Think of it this way: out 21 days home 6. That is equivalent of working a mon-fri job with weekends off. That is why it’s hourly/performance pay not salary

This video reminded me of why I quit JB Hunt. It’s been a month since I quit them. Almost went back to Werner and their dollar general account.. but I didn’t. My dispatch at JB Hunt did not give AF. Company took 400 of my dollars one week cus they said I can’t make more than 1600 in a week on the account o was on. Now I’m starting with KLLM in Memphis in 2 weeks and doing their lease op program. I’ve been driving for 2 years and trying to see if I can handle the owner op stuff. I’m a bit anxious hearing/seeing a lot about KLLM, but it seems there’s a lot of happy folks too. I think it depends a lot on the area and the dispatch and managers. Surprisingly their lease op for the account I’m going to be on will pay 75% of the load vs others near by who pay 1.07-1.16 per mile. I’d rather make that percentage and do short runs than be stuck driving 2500-3000 miles a week just to get by. Who knows what’ll happen though. I’m just hoping for the best.

I drove for them from April 2015 to April 2019 they have they're ups and downs . One of the downs is as a company driver your always moving in and out of truck's so they can sell truck's to the lease drivers. The best part was being on Shane Timmerman dedicated fleet for three years. The worst part of kllm was I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and they fired me instead of giving me a medical leave of absence . I needed three month to get my health under control and go for my dot physical again. I was in an unpreventable that January and unbeknownst to me they towed the truck to Jackson, Ms with all my stuff in it. I had know way to get to Jackson to get my stuff and they refused to FedEx to me.

I know I’m a little late .. and I watched your whole video bro ... I do feel where you’re coming from on the whole ordeal.. but honestly everything you said is pretty much what you have to expect from these student companies... and as of now I’m sure you gained enough knowledge and experience to understand that now ... for 1 thing.. with these student companies.. they are designed for inexperienced drivers ..the dispatchers are basically kids fresh out of college that has never even sat in a truck.. so you gotta expect those mishaps.. secondly .. with them asking you to remove the videos was in their defense and yours too honestly.. simply because it’s a large student company (as you stated) ... they have more new drivers than experienced drivers.. which means that company is in more of a higher risk in an accident.. all it takes is someone to say.. “yeah I seen one of the new drivers recording his backing” .. and it puts a bad look on the company because they will be looked at as “Those new drivers could easily hit something because they be on the phone” .. and your TikToks will be prime evidence regardless if you hit something or not.. yeah I know it sucks but hey .. that’s how student companies are.. you gotta look at it as if someone was driving your truck and you see he/she recording while driving.... as long as you’re driving under someone else name then anything you do will represent that company... it’s kinda like living with mom and dad.. you gotta go by they rules or get your own lol ..but like you said .. these companies are best for gaining experience.. then you’ll be able to move on and get your own truck.. and do as you please ... great content my brother.. I’m wishing you the best of blessings on your career and journey ✊🏾💪🏾🙏🏾

Some of these people coming out for training, sometimes that pay ain't enough. Trainers are putting their lives on the line, they deserve the pay. I think trainees deserve more pay during that time also. This is the time when companies should put forth more money to pay for the training. Since trainees always complain about trainers making that mileage pay, pay trainees .30 per mile during training and pay trainer the extra cash that they are paying the trainee

Honestly yes cause with KLLM I was only getting 500 a week no matter how many miles I drove (or how many showers my trainer skipped) but my trainer really did make a profit off of me because I wanted mileage I did nearly 700 in one day at one point but that $500 was still $500

@mattyicevisions5569 and trainers should make a profit from training. It's got to benefit them somehow. Especially if it's their truck.

They get £200 a week, cent or 2 more on cpm, and team miles even when they are not driving. Owner operators capitalise on it. Minimum 5 days of work and not refusing loads is part of their £1,000 guarantee..... that's before taxes

MAN THANK YOU!!!!! Somebody said it!! These trainers are nasty and everybody don’t wanna shower and trucks are super nasty..I’m new to trucking and I just quit my first company because I didn’t like their training process..I’m introvert and it was alot to take in..I went through 2 trainers and both were HORRIBLE..one had a dog and it was super unsanitary..the other one woke up mad everyday because she had “man issues” back home and the energy was bad coming from her..It took my all to go back after the dog situation but I felt like the second straw was a sign from god lol..then like you said trucking suppose to put us on our feet..i wanna enjoy my new apartment and not chase miles after miles..trucking is easy to get into but hard to get out..I don’t want to drive trucks my whole life..it’s just for the money..so I advise people to save as much as they can because you’ll eventually get tired of mile chasing and once you go out and get all these bills..you’re stuck!

Highly agree. Because sad to say but most people just start driving trucks to stack bread up, it’s rare to hear people wanting to live on the road they whole life. For me it was strictly an investment for my steps towards my own business
