The only thing they need to know is if ur going to be late to a shipper or receiver. And if they ask why and its during winter just tell them bc of inclement weather. You should have just stayed at the receiver a little longer. You have to protect that CDL.

Don't be embarrassed KLLM terminated me March 11th I was caught up in a EF 4 tornado December 10th in Hayti , Missouri and got hurt pretty bad had 60,000 dollars worth of damage on a 85,000 dollar truck and took all my maintenance money smh
I think I was running the same blizzard but I was in Illinois around that time. Total nightmare going down I 55 stuck in traffic for 4 hours straight then traffic started moving again and let me tell you pure automotive carnage the further down the road I got. Glad you didn't get hurt. Don't feel bad about an electric pole I took one out myself this past April you never forget the sound or the flashes.

Also they trick you saying you get paid when you are home but they hold half your check and send it to you when you are gone. I turned them down after I went through the 3 day training thing. Back then their pay only averaged out to barely 6 bucks an hour. Under minimum wage. Not for me. Wish you luck young man
I’ve been with KLLM for going on 8 years and it does have its up and downs it’s a good starter company I’m leased purchase you have to know your limits and you have to do what’s safe for you and the four wheelers and other driver around you I’m also confused on why they fired you for hitting a pole there’s been drivers who’ve done worse but I hope everything is going well for you and having a better experience and good luck out there.

KLLM, was a good company, good dispatchers, they were good to safe drivers with years of experience. It changed really bad in late 2022-early 2023. Firing people right and left. Driver shortage, that is a joke! These CDL mill trucking companies crank out drivers. They love to fire people in winter Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., when jobs are hard to find. If they'd stop nit picking, and firing safe drivers with years of experience, at the drop of a hat, who didn't mind OTR, being on the road weeks at a time. If, you have to turn a broken down truck in, make sure you spend $600-$700 detail and steam cleaning it. Their truck is all your expense and problem. If not, they'll fire you for it. That should be illegal! Freightliner raises a damn fit about it. KLLM in 2023, stay away!
Hey. Did KLLM help you get your permit??? I called to try to get setup for training and the recruiter told me I have to go to the DMV in my state, GA, and get my permit for combination vehicles first before I can even start class. Does this sound accurate?
Whaaat that’s crazy, I started from zero, they brought me there and got me everything. Permit, license, even got me my tanker endorsement on my license. I don’t know if maybe they changed it now or what. But yea they got me everything.

Screenshot confirmation page after filing out the form because they need to see it when you arrive at the DMV. No appointment needed to take permit test; just form.

I went through kllm for my cdl back in 2016. I think the bill was 4k. They had me sign a contract stating if I stay a year the loan is forgiven. Ever week you stay they knocked off 80 to 90 bucks off the cost. I left right before it was fully paid. I only paid just over 100 out of pocket.
