@@bobolulu7615 sadly not part of my job. I was just one of many designers and our client wasn't the car manufacturers themselves, but ThyssenKrupp (mostly) who was responsible for full functionality. If something didn't work, they requested specific adjustments in models and drawings. In case someone had to discuss the project in person, it was management or project leaders.
At one point we see the rear door on, and then at the end it comes off the line with all doors installed. Can anyone CONFIRM that robots are installing the hinges and then installing the doors? Are are the doors just in a temporary position to be installed manually elsewhere? Thanks2
Can anyone help explain the below queries? 1. @2:54, what is the method of inspection for sealer? 2. @5:05, robots pick the BIW and rotates it 180 clockwise and then again 180 anticlockwise... Why? 3. What is the gripper at 5:37?
For sealent detection most probably there might a provision of vision system somewhere above the dispenser Robot rotate the full body ...its probably an a measuring station where critical point are being checked with camera system Gripper is door fitting jig it check the flush and gap within tolerance
@@abajidhage5262 Thanks for the info. but regarding my 3rd point, I still have doubt about the robot's functionality which goes through the front windshield @5:37, as the image is not clear.
The majority is Spot welding. There is also some Mig welding and BMW uses a lot of adhesive in place of welding. All three methods are seen in this video. I used to work on those lines in that plant.
Walter's Guides how? Which process specifically? How would you "optimize" it? What would It cost to integrate said opt? Please, dont leave us wanting , say what is and can be done....
I have designed many of those welding stations, never seen them in person. It is fascinating to see it in action at least on video.
Hello, I actually have a project on this welding workshop and I wonder what are the recommendation that you think it's should be focused on
Why have you not seen them in action? I would have thought that part of the project would be making sure your designs worked?

these robots are way smarter and faster than humans
I thought they were a bit slow, but they don't go strike..often.
But humans build those robots therefore that means that the humans are smarter
Smarter no, they are programed dummies but much faster especially with todays slow and lazy workforce.
