I was at the bar next door and didn't bother to go in because i assumed crabs will be better in a typical Sri lankan Resturant in comparison to a fine dining restaurant. Now i regret my decision! i guess there is always next year.
Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara are 2 owners of this place...just realized that.....this is a really cool place, will be going here next time im there for sure.....ty for the videos!!!!:D
Enjoyed watching ur video about Staten Island!! I was expecting this video to be more like that. For eg, specially enjoyed that lump rice part!! That bought back a lot of memories of back home!! :) Anyway, it would have been cool if you had been more involved in this video like in that. Pleaseee post more local restaurant reviews!! With apologies to any well-satisfied customers, my personal opinion of this place is way below par! i dined here with my two sisters and ordered 3 crabs which we were told in excess of 3 kg. they were cooked in 3 different styles, and none was to rate as "wow". i spent LKR 30,000 (yep, i didnt miss any zeros) for what i would call an utter dissatisfaction. their fried rice and coconut sambol was better tasting. contrary to this, i dined at the "Fat Crab"in marine drive the following year. the bill was half the price and the quality of the food was 200% better than the ministry of Crab (we later started calling it by the name with replacing the B with a P on the crab, sadly). i would NOT recommend this to anyone i would like to see enjoy crab.
