    What’s your Go-To Question at the end of an Interview?

    • @Succexxyy

      Would it be okay to ask "Is there any skill in particular that I would need to be successful in this role?", just as a final question in the interview.

    Hi Ineke, I have an interview tomorrow and so I am surfing like crazy to gather my questions for the end of the interview. I already had the question "what do you enjoy most about working here?" and "what is the most important part of this role?". I don't want to ask "Can you describe your company culture", because everyone suggests asking this question and I feel that is is definitely OVERUSED. I absolutely love your last powerful question about skills and experience. Even the if a weakness is detected, no one is perfect and everyone can learn or improve a skill. I was truly impressed with this video. I love the enthusiasm which you show. To bad I will be wearing a mask tomorrow due to corona, but I won't put on my glasses until I have to look at my questions, so they will at least be able to see the enthusiasm on the upper half of my face. Thank again!!!!!

    • @PathtoPromotion
      @PathtoPromotion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Erica, I agree... the culture question is overused and usually you get generic answers to that question anyway. Are you doing face to face or a video interview?

    • @ericaami971
      @ericaami971 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PathtoPromotion Hi Ineke, sorry that it took so long for me to answer. I had the interview last week on the same day that I wrote to you. I thankfully had a face to face interview. I only interviewed with one woman who has been at the position for the last 15 years!! We really hit it off well, and I was able to let her know that I would be able to learn any missing skills. The interview was on the 15th and they would like someone to start August 1st and today July 22, I still have not heard anything. The interview last for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I read that any interview over 45 minutes is good. My good points are that I am experienced, my first language is English (that is what they desperately need!!) my German is on level of a native and I am very team-oriented. My major shortcoming is my age!! But I am trying to be positive and think that I am in the running because they did invite me. So I will call the Headhunters on the 26th to see if they have any information (if I don't hear anything today or tomorrow). Your video was great and inspiring.

    • @PathtoPromotion
      @PathtoPromotion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericaami971 the fact that you haven't heard anything yet doesn't mean it's bad news.... recruitment ALWAYS takes longer than expected. I've had clients tell me a role is urgent then not make a decision for weeks

      @@PathtoPromotion HI everyone I have a quick question. I received an email today and was told that I would be getting a second interview, [BUT ON ZOOM or something]. Luckily I have zoom and had practised a bit, but when I sit, the only thing that I see is my head, until maybe the end of my chin. I cannot see any of my outfit at all. I am sitting as high as possible. If the interviewers are using something else, will they be able to at least see the top of my outfit. Should I wear a jacket or just the nice blouse? I am so glad that I decided to install Zoom at the beginning of June, at least I have had a bit of practise. HELP!!!
