I LOVED THIS VIDEO…. We lived in the middle, 30 minutes north or south. Have visited or camped. Dang your showed such beauty and loved seeing how full the lake was. I never new churches could be a harvest host. Love the history of the area a combination of northern European and Spanish. I've always heard of Pismo beach but never seen it thank you for sharing.

I’m heading back to Pismo Beach soon. I was there last year just after the new year and didn’t get to see the Monarch Sanctuary as it was closed due to storms and flooding! Hoping for better luck this year! Great video and love the drone views and abundant information!!
Oh that sounds like a great trip. They have had some issues with the high waves the last few days but should not impact the sanctuary i think. We did not get a chance to see that either - hope you do this trip. Safe travels and happy new year! Thanks for watching and the comment

Wow dont know where to start. We almost went to Solvang twice mainly to go to pea soup Anderson what a funny coincidence we have been to the other location it has always been a stop from Washington on our way to Disneyland. We also almost went to Pismo. It is so funny we have hung out around LA and once we drove from San Francisco andbstayed at several coastal places and stayed as long as San Luis Abispo (?) And we decided not to head further to Pismo and Snata Barbara so we just have this small area along that area we havent went to. You covered that section perfectly and it is still on our list. That was great information and drone footage at Pismo we will be going one day. Ron always says how he wants to just explore missions for a while so I know he would love that. Your family friends place was wonderful what a blessing. Great video always fantastic filming. Editing and the great narration with such good facts and information. Happy New year to the two of you looking forward to 2024!!

Yes we used to eat at that Pea Soup Andersons in Oceanside too. And they had one up in Mammoth lakes when I was younger too - that was always fun. Hey, I'm going back and forth between an RV and a truck with a trailer. What made you decide to get a truck+trailer? I'm assuming any trailer I get would fit around 5-6 people (25 feet maybe). You think a Tacoma would be strong enough to pull that? Or would I need a bigger truck?
What we liked about the truck + trailer was that we could use the truck for other things, and also that it was a pretty good vehicle for exploring off road if we wanted to do that in the places we were camped. We got our trailer orignally witih a F150 , but after a while we decied to go to the bigger truck - mainly becase I felt we were overtaxing the F150 - it was doing the job but I was concerned we might wear it out prematurely. I think there are pros and cons to both approaches, and you have to think about what type of camping you will do. If. you want to mostly hang out around where you camp,, then a truck camper is just fine. If you want to drive around a lot then I think it can be a bit of work to put things away each time. But we have not had a truck camper so really not speaking from experience there. You might try renting before you commit to see what you like. Best of luck to you and thanks for the comment!

Beautiful scenery! Lopez Lake was where I saw my first bald eagle fly overhead as we were fishing! Great camping spots!

Lake Lopez is our go to place. We usually stay 5-7 days there and there is always lots to do.
